Thank you for the review Hagge! Thought LabRadar was top notch! Good to know! *thumbs up*

What I would like is the FX Chronograph. The small "box" thy sell. Its only for PCP rifles, so it cant read rifle bullets as it has max velocity of 335 m/s. But the size, like two snusdosor. And cheap. PCP rifles just mount it on the barrel with rubber bands, but it can be put on a table or a small tripod.

I have a Magnetospeed, and besides some downsides, i am very happy with it. I still am considering this one. I think with the two velocities you can calculate the ballistic coeficient? Maybe i am wrong.

Yes, but it hardly works. Get the solution that calculates the speed at the target and combine with your magnetospeed instead

You can calculate BC without a fancy radar. Just take a large paper and shoot it on 2 distances, say 100 and 300 without changing the holdover/clicks, and enter it in strelok. It will correct the BC if you know the velocity. Also the radar does not work *at all* on certain ranges due to how the walls are made and if there is shubbs etc.

It seems, that there are several different BT modules used, that affect the BT connectivity. We have one LR in the 16xxx serial range and another one in the 23xxx, the latter did communicate more reliable with the old app, but still with errors. The older LR was almost never connectable via BT from four different Android devices. With the latest app there seems to be at least an improvement with the stability of the connection and also the s/n 16xxx device is able to connect, sometimes it requires two attempts to succeed. The onboard BT module in the LR is made by NEC, unfortunately I was never able to explore whether they have a more recent firmware available or not and how to determine the current one or apply a patch if available. The module itself indeed has a separate I/O port on the PCB. Anyway, with the LR firmware 1.2.4+ and the new app it seems to work for me, even if there are minor errors like the time and date read for the measurements by the app. But still a pitty, how this year long issue is frustrating users all over the world.

It is very sad that a potentially good product gets released as a beta to the market, then the support of it is nonexistent. I wish there was a competitor on the market that made a consumer product that was actually working as intended.

I heard about a new radar-based device, but very likely it will not be in a competitive price range.

I printed a picatinny rail with a hole in it to improve aiming. But overall sometimes it tracks, sometimes it doesn't, why bother. The USB connection is shit tho and very finicky. Other than putting in a big internal pack there is no solution to this.

Just a great idea and a shitty execution of it 😔

Can you use magnetospeed with supressors?

No wonder I have not purchased one, the Magneto Speed I will stay with until it no along operates maybe I will get another one.

This machine is indeed cheap, and it does the job. The old style of chronographs is ok, they also do the job, but the SD/ES is nice having that information.

the problem with Bluetooth method of sharing data without pairing is that it works like ass on everything not an iphone. I have the intellidropper wich also has bluetooth and it has the BT near devices thing, that does not need pairing and i have not found 1 android device that works with it. Iphones work fine, all versions i have tested. It just starts up, work all the time. But on android it does not work. Probably the same issue, buy a iphone and it will work :(

I got it to work when switching to the s22 ultra. Still not very satisfied with the device...

@ yeah it sucks that BT are so finnicy even if it's "standard". Same with car stereos etc. One day it works, next day it doesn't. And god forbidd if you update your device!

If you have issues with microusb is generaly the cable that is at fault. And usb-c is not superiour to micro, yes its modern but tbh, i have seen way more usb-c ports fail since it came out then i have ever seen microusb fail - in my estimation 1000% more failure prone. USB-C is a finnicy sensitive port made to do shit its not usefull for (high speeds, thunderbolt, video). also, most people can repair/replace microusb connectors IF they need to (2 or 4 solder points). USB-C is a mayor pain in the ass to replace without microscope, microsoldering.

Interesting. My experience is that anything will fail if shitty. Usb-c replacing all connectors is bad on laptops for example. I am having issues with that at work atm.
@jmkhenka2 жыл бұрын
@ yeah my experience is MacBooks, never had to send in machines of failed ports before they switched to usb-c. The microusb is well thought out and quite robust and mostly quite cheap and easy to work with (4 connectors vs what, 12 for C). But then they might have a product cycle that was longer then the formulation of C so when the product came out is quite irrelevant for adoption of ports. Try switching cable. But most electronic repair businesses can repair a micro USB port if needed.
