I know introducing them to water when pups is best! Only issue I have is it’s December and 30 degrees and my pup is 15 weeks old. So hard to introduce her to water being this cold. Other option would be best. She loves being in the bath! Thanks for your input!

My pup learned to swim when she saw to farm ducks an decided to chase em into the pond she got out there a little until I was calling her name back in she struggled a little coming back I’m lucky it’s a really shallow pond cause I can’t swim but I would of still went out there an got her if it was high but after her spay an once she’s fully healed we’re gonna learn how to swim better 😂

Ethan, I'm picking up my 9 week old WSS in mid-Oct. I live in New England. By the time my pup is Sprigs water introduction age, it will be way too cold. When should I introduce water to my pup?

My 12 week old lab can't stand getting wet, even when I'm in the water with her. I got her a small kids' pool to cool off after running around in the heat but she is still reluctant. If I put her in it (water is inch deep) she just walks straight out. Should I keep pushing it? Or be patient and leave it up to her?

Two ? Why does she go after the ball gets right up to it and turns and swims back empty? Why when I'm fishing she goes crazy jumps in water watches pole like a hawk when casting she lurches after the cast ?

I can’t even get my black lab mix to like water at all !! I ve had her sense she was 2 months old have tried several times last summer and this summer and she shows no interest s in water ?!? Any ideas how I can get her to like water ?!

The point about a dog being well bred is so big. Getting my first hunting dog soon but I've been dog training for years but having a dog with drive and instinct makes it look easy. Training low drive dogs is not fun

My puppy does well with the commands you’ve taught so far. However he ignores me when he knows I do not have treats. Would doing more of the variable treat giving help this issue? Or is it something else?

Variable reinforcement will help, but also moving into collar conditioning!
