Zendaya hadn't performed in YEARS before last year. Obviously everyone is going insane that they're there in that literal once in a life-time moment. Also, Euphoria is a very prominent show in the US so majority of the audience has likely watched this. Probably hit even harder. I was there, the screams were so loud that even if they did raise the mics there would be still no way to hear her through all the noise. It was insane how loud it was. Zendya even said after in like a story about how it was so loud that she couldn't even hear her own voice in her earpiece.
