Labyrinth - Piece Of Time - FABIO LIONE vs ROBERTO TIRANTI

Roberto Tiranti in an interview said that he didn't never considered himself as a metal voice (in fact, he was "discovered" by Labirinth after the italian (pop) festival of "Sanremo" of 1996 or 1997, where he sang with the old italian progressive rock group "New Trolls"). For me, Fabio Lione is a very good singer , nothing to say, but Tiranti for me is superb. He gains a very high tone which few men are able to reach, as you can hear in a video here in youtube, of a live of "Moonshine", at tyhe end of the song, when he used a "falsetto". I don't know if Fabio is more versatile or not, as i can see, for me, Roberto is better in general but it is only my opinion, the only thing is that, for me, Roberto seems to dominate his voice: he seems to make everything easy even the hardest things. PS: the last album "Welcome to the absurd circus", is amazing, the single "The absurd circus" is a jewel and its video a little masterpiece. There is also a beautiful cover of a famous old song of the "Ultravox", "Dancing with tears in my eyes", one of my favourite group of the '80, new wave group with the great Midge Ure as vocalist. I love them both but roberto was better in than begin than fabio was.. This is a matter of living.. Fabio became even better with study. Roberto start earlier I bet.

Roberto for sure. Fabio is a very good singer technically but to me Roberto is more of an artist and has a much more expressive way of singing.

Both are great singers. Both are easily identifiable in the mix, both very unique in their own right. Both are able to shine brightly in an area where the other cannot. I do prefer Roberto Tiranti because of his softer, breathy voice. It is less operatic, even though he himself was likey trained classically by his teacher.

fabio said he never got lessons on this album so he started to sang in this..how? this quality? roberto was professional when sang this so I prefer fabio that made it at his best on his condition.

Labyrinth and Vision Divine are bands that Fabio should have never touched, they have unique voices and styles, when Fabio sings their songs i hear rhapsody on a power generic metal band, but Roberto and Michelle give this bands an unbeatable voice, they made these bands theirs.

ok, my english is out of practice, but this debate is very interesting for my. Look, the theme of the vocal range if complicated, in this case i dont think that the differencia is the tone if not the style. Fabio is, in my opinion, more ¨versatil¨, if you liste all her proyects you can see this. For this style of song, in my opinion, Roberto is besting than Fabio. Of course, both of them are the incredible singers and i have an especial affection for them. For Fabio is verry hard singings in tones of people like Michael Kiske, Alessandro Conti, Andre Matos or Michele Luppi (All are masters...) but he have others weapons. In the higth tones in open chest, like clasical tenor, he is, in my opinion, the undisputed best. ¡Thanks for view and comment!

Fui muy fans de Lione por un tiempo cuando yo empecé a escuchar obviamente a Fabio Lione pero cuando escuche a Roberto pues me enamore de su voz, me gusta mas, es mas melodica y no se me hace tan monotona cuando eschucho varias canciones seguidas de cada uno.,. obviamente son gustos y para gustos colores.... también es verdad que puede que para segun que temas igual la voz se adapta mejor...por ejemplo los temas de rapshody le van nuy bien para lione y no creo que tanto para Roberto aunque no se haya visto cantar este tipo de temas....no dejan de ser dos números unos los dos cantantes....Mis cantantes favoritos son: Kiske, Roy khan, Russell Allen... despues casi rozando o sin rozar Roberto....

Justamente en mi canal hay un video que recorté donde se puede ver (y escuchar, claramente) a Fabio con Roberto y con el legendario Adolfo Morbiducci cantando una parte de Nessun Dorma. Ahí se puede notar que Fabio saca ventaja en ese campo específico. Sobre tus vocalistas favoritos, me llama bastante la atención, porque son tres vocalistas con líneas, técnicas y estilos bien diferentes. ¡Saludos!
