About Lac d'Orédon from St-Lary-Soulan
Join fellow cyclists on a beautiful sunny day up to the pristine alpine lake Lac d'Orédon in the French Pyrenees. The ride starts in the lovely town St-Lary-Soulan. From here you ride through town until you get to the main road. It a rather beautiful main road with little traffic and a perfect warm-up. Next to the road is a river which you follow up to Lac d'Orédon After roughly teen kilometers you turn right up a narrow mountain road. The road takes you through a beautiful gorge with stunning views. The ride gets more difficult with double digits gradients. After approximately 15 kilometers you get to a series of hairpins named Lacets des Ecureuil (hairpins of the squirrels), and Lacets d’Edelweiss. Once you finished the hairpins you get to a stunning segment with jawdropping views. As you get to the highest point of this route you have views of Lac d'Orédon. In a distance, you can see the wall of another huge damn. You now descend to Lac d'Orédon and ride along the lakeshore to the Refuge d'Orédon. The perfect place to end the ride and get a cold drink after a long hard, but beautiful ride.

Adding music to the ride:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is awesome. But when it comes to music opinions are very mixed. This is why we do not add music to our rides. We simply do not want to spoil your ride with music you do not like. But it is quite simple to add it yourself. Open an extra browser tab. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, KZbin, etc…) and pick the music you like and enjoy the ride...

Idk why, but the thumbnail reminded me of that video my siblings scared me with where the car is driving and a screaming face pops up 😂. I love your video, though. Can't wait to use it!

Incredible french Pyrennes,it looks like Norway! French Pyrenees are a north side so it's very green and snowy in winter, spanish Pyrenees are a south side,so much more dry and desertic

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Great ride! REQUEST: Please overlay stopwatch/clock in one of the corners to time out of the saddle, heavy cadence, finish-line sprints etc. during the ride.

Glad you like it. Thank you for your suggestions. Most of our subscribers like it pure without overlay so they can enjoy the scenery. That is why we have made our app 'Open Road'. Here it is possible to ride with an overlay. And you can connect it with ANT+ devices to control the speed of the video and have the data shown in the overlays. Read more in the description.

Such a beautiful ride and such charming stone towns. I can easily imagine this remote life - being quarantined with no malls, movies, etc. - but staying in feels so much better when I can 'get outside' this way and see the world! Thanks so much!

Awesome workout and the route choice is the first class, I did via ANT+ and smart trainer and the start of the ride is nice and gently and when you turn right on this old alpine road, the Game is On ! no slacking here grades are going up from here on up from 5-7% to in later sections of hair pins in 8-10% there is section of about 1 km when road tilt up and stay at 10% brutal ! but you know you're ear the top. Scenery is breath taking and vie of the lake makes for it and time for cold one ! great job !!! this ride is one of those you can do over and over, just beatifull

Wonderful scenery, great film. If I might make a suggestion, you could take a 360 view of the end of your films, I would live to see the whole view.

Is it me or is it in slow motion? Just finished the ride. Definitely slow motion so guess its filmed from a motorbike. Bit weird but didn't spoil the views. Thanks
