LAcarGUY Sponsors Grades of Green Trash Free Lunch Program

LAcarGUY has been a proud sponsor of Grades of Green and their Trash Free Lunch Challenge since 2012. Grades of Green is a non-profit organization originating from Manhattan Beach, CA that is dedicated to teaching environmentally sustainable practices to kids across the U.S. Their vision is to make "environmental protection second nature in young minds" and LAcarGUY has been an active partner in their programs for the last two years.
The Trash Free Lunch challenge is an annual competition between Los Angeles County schools to see which school can reduce its lunchtime trash the most. Over the past two years, participating schools have decreased lunchtime trash by an average of 70% with the winning schools reducing trash by 90%! Cumulatively TFLC schools have diverted over 30,000 bags of trash from the landfill!
