Hello and good Sunday afternoon to you, Susan! I'm glad that you also like this bag! Maybe you can find a lace zipper somewhere or, you can always use a regular zipper. I probably should have mentioned that that would work just as well, even though it wouldn't look as fancy. I love to hear about all your canning. I don't know if I've ever told you, but when our children were growing up, we did as much for ourselves as we could and I used to can a lot of our foods. Many years that I would can over a 1 000 jars in a season. We had vegetables from our garden, but we also had canned chicken meat, beef, all different kinds of pickles, jams, jellies, Spaghetti sauce, salsa, ketchup, etc. You name it, I canned it. I had 3 water bath and 2 pressure canners. When we moved from our house into an apartment, giving up all those jars was heartbreaking to me. Absolutely heartbreaking.. I loved canning my own food. I have made a batch of jam here and there, but I don't even remember how long or at what pressure I used to do certain foods. They say use it or lose it, and that is absolutely true, at least for me. Anyway, didn't mean to talk your ear off. Hope you're having a great afternoon!

My dreaded boo-boo is sewing a pin INSIDE the the lining and outside. Yup. Remember metal zippers that snapped needles?

Oh my goodness Sarah, I certainly do remember that! I'm so happy to work with the nylon zippers and all of the flexible ways you can use them. Although, I have broken a needle or two on them. Although it's uncommon, it can and does happen. Yeah, I have sewed a pin inside something before, too - yikes!!! I'm glad I'm not alone in these boo-boos! I hope you have a fantastic Sunday!

Never seen a lace zipper before. Cherry, that’s one fruit I’m not fond of.

Hi Lucy! I'm glad you liked the bag. It's funny you should mention that you don't like cherry... because neither do I. I think they're cute looking on the fabric, but I would never eat one, not even on a dare. Lol!
