He works really well with Miyabi, too. Most channels are gushing over Yanagi + Miyabi but something not talked about is that the Frost Anomaly boosts crit damage received. Since Miyabi's unable to keep doing her self-anomaly loop without Frostbite being cleared through Disorder or her M1, it actually opens up this window where you can swap over to Harumasa and go crazy for a few loops before rotating back. Dude it's then benefiting from his Passive AND the Frostbite Anomaly effect's bonus crit damage.

A correction on over stacking the orbs (Balls) , the max orbs you can have on the field is 6, but putting new orbs on the field doesn't get rid of the previous orbs it procs them as if you used the aim shot. At 4:40, you see that doing the EX Skills not only puts 6 new orbs, but the previous orbs activated and you can see the X-Mark on the enemy. So you can actually do 3 Slashes > Aim Shot > 3 Slashes, so 6 slashes in a much faster amount of time. This works on all instances of orb generation, so accidently procing anomaly with an EX Skill or Chain Attack, means you essentially have 6 slashes ready to go (the 6 orbs of anomaly are instantly activated after the EX Skill of Chain Attack), and the sign of an advanced Harumasa player is knowing how to maximize their slashes for max damage.

4:40 - you casted EX skill (without falling feather) which produced 6 orbs but the 6 orbs previously there auto targeted the enemy hence why there is an X mark on it. 5:36 - you casted EX skill, which should have 6 orbs with no X mark. Instead, you EX skill > 6 orbs were made > Shock happened > the 6 orbs from the EX skill auto-targeted the enemy leaving an X mark -> then the 6 orbs from Shock are on the field :) Basically, I think when you create 6 orbs but there are already orbs on the field, the game will autoX mark if it can. So the trick i think is to not overstack X marks since an enemy at max holds 8 stacks (assuming harumasa's additional ability is active), not orbs. Since the game tries to auto-X mark if it can :) so i think harumasa's kit will try its best to prevent overstacking as much as possible.

Thank you for this video! Your focus on actually showing the individual animations associated with each input and each part of his combo was really helpful. I'm a mobile player and when CCs just gloss over inputs as though they should be second nature I feel really left behind. The in-depth section at the beginning really helped me turn my theoretical understanding of his kit into an actual practical understanding! My main criticism is that I think you glossed past his mindscapes really fast in comparison, because his M1 and M4 are actually zero damage increase mindscapes that only affect his combos/QOL. M2 also affects his playstyle because you need to distribute the dmg bonus stacks properly during the stun window. I mean, they're still bad and nobody should pull for them (I say after I already pulled for them), but they do change his combo.

based on my recent tests, you can actually place E then initiate a Chain ending with Asaba then spam, its like going to be, 6 from E then 6 from Chain then usually ends in shock which can lead to another 6 hence atleast 3 DAs

The unfortunate part also about him staying on field as long as possible during the stun window is that if you have a support unit like Lucy buff him right before the end of the chain attack, you only get about 2/rotations of slashes before her buff expires at which point his damage gets cut in half.

If you get more than 6 orbs it just marks them lol. Overstacking is fine, and actually desirable. With 6 on field and spawning 6 more you can skip the aimed shot and go right into hiten no tsuru

I know it's completely optional but I feel like that holding EX to mark is very confusing in an actual combat scenario when enemies are in your face and tons of things are happening at the same time. I feel like holding the basic for the aim (Falling Feather) is still easier for me personally because I get a visual indicator that I'm actually marking the enemies because the camera angle changes vs. having just another attack go off. Either way, I'm having a ton of fun with him, I just kind of wish they had some kind of audio queue whenever there's 6 orbs out - as it is, I'm constantly having to turn my camera to look around looking for them, whether they're there or not, because the orbs don't always appear around the enemy (it can be behind or in front, and if you're dashing/running around, the orbs could be across the room). I also kind of wish they made it so that even if there are orbs out (from his basic attack) that if you EX or cause anomaly, the 6 orbs just override them.

Thunder Metal works well with Seth buffing him. Or simply applying Electric. Gonna try Jane and Seth with Haramasa for this second Deadly Assault. The angry red robot is crazy and only weak to electric, resistant to fire. Says we get a buff doing defensive assists so Seth or Caesar is most likely recommended. Ben is shafted due to the fire resistance.

Man the info about overstacking orb got me so confused, they just auto apply to an enemy, you can even see that when you say about it and use his ex skill, the enemy just got the mark and you can dash attack The only way to overstack is if the enemy already had 4 marks and you have some orbs down and generate more but it's very rare

best teammate is Caesar/Nicole because he can do aoe with charged attack but is small, so having someone to get enemies close for receiving all dmg is perfect, as for single enemies he destroys them alone.

Even regular stun gives 150% dmg multiplier base (some enemies it’s 200% base). This plus the extra 40 percent is more dmg than just 40 percent against shocked. But anomaly characters can shock faster than stun characters typically can stun.

rina is great with him but you still want a stunner, haru, rina & robot girl stunner is a great team for him (anby works for stunner but not as well as robot girl). overall you still want a stunner cause it can do over double your damage easier along with rina buffs.

One thing you missed that is actually really important to know to prevent overriding stacks during the stun window. There is a mechanic that allows harumasa to summon all 6 quivers in the 5th basic attack after triggering a chain attack on him.
