Allow me to shed some light on this episode in case anyone is confused. Rocio, one of the site’s co-founders, had received multiple emails from mothers who were complaining that Jay was a bad influence on their daughters because she was a tomboy, and therefore, “not feminine enough” for a website aimed at girls, and demanded that the character be removed from the site. In response to these emails, Rocio granted those parents’ requests in a rather twisted fashion. In 2009, she published a game called “Jay’s Skating Game,” that ends with Jay skateboarding of a building into a sea of spikes, and dies. Not long after this game is published, all games featuring Jay are removed from the site, signifying that Jay has been permanently killed off. This explains the “careful what you wish for” remark from Rocio. However, despite killing Jay off, Rocio would continue to have her corpse pop up in subsequent Lacey games, and as we all saw, Lacey’s Makeup Parlor was one of them. Lacey’s makeup parlor isn’t really a makeup parlor at all, but rather a morgue, and Lacey is working there as a mortuary cosmetologist. Following the death of her best friend, Lacey refuses to accept the reality of her friend being gone, so she deludes herself into believing that she is working in a regular makeup parlor, and that Jay is a regular client who needs her makeup done. However, when Lacey actually begins to work on Jay’s makeup, her face begins to deteriorate, and Lacey’s delusions become harder to maintain, until eventually, we see the dark reality for what it is, with Lacey disturbingly conversing with Jay’s dead body, desperately trying to convince herself that her best friend is still alive. Because Jay’s death was the result of patents who complained that she wasn’t feminine enough, this is Lacey’s motive for putting makeup on her face, because she believes she can get her friend back if she makes her appear more feminine. Of course, it’s all in vain, but Lacey’s mental state is so damaged, she doesn’t realize. Lacey then falls into a deep depression, and expresses her grief by writing a song in dedication to Jay. The lyrics indicating that her death has left an extremely deep impact on her, and it really details just how close the two girls were (how distraught do you have to be over someone’s death to wish that everyone in the world would bleed from their mouths and eyes?) During the goodbye song segment, there’s a split second frame that shows Lacey strangling herself. Which I believe is meant to represent that self hatred Lacey had for herself, due to her initial inability to accept her friend’s death, combined with the fact that she indirectly disrespected her memory by doing the one thing she knew her friend wouldn’t want her to do, which was put makeup on her. The overall premise of the episode is about toxic femininity and how damaging it can be on young girls for society to push this standard on how girls should look and act. Jay was killed off because she didn’t meet these societal expectations, despite the fact that she was beloved by the girls who played on the site in spite of her lack of femininity. Lacey goes through the five stages of grief when dealing with her best friend’s death. She first denies it by deluding herself into believing she’s working in a morgue, then she attempts to bargain for Jay’s life by making her appear more feminine, then she falls into a depression and writes a song signifying how big an impact Jay’s death has had on her, then she feels an intense amount of anger directed at herself for indirectly disrespecting her friend’s memory by forcing her to wear makeup and maintaining this toxic societal quota that caused her death in the first place, and finally, after her sadness and anger subsides, Lacey accepts Jay’s death while being comforted by her other friend, Maisie.

I deciphered that last paragraph: She stepped into the empty room at the edge of the universe, and calmly walked towards the single button on the wall, which as she has been told by the gods above, could delete the existence of anyone she disliked. She thought long and hard of all the ugliest souls she had ever known. She made her decision and her finger met the button without any ceremony. But looking down at her feet it was all red with blood. She stood in shock. The blood tainted her every being. She had thought deletion (________?) nice, clean, and instant without realizing that death is the only deletion that exists, and that there is no death without painful, (unalerting?) grief. im back with the explanation 🌟(sorry again for the bad english!) laceys makeup parlor - this represents the traumua behind girls that find themselves “ugly.” or the distress by social expectations of girls. Jay is a “tomboy” and in the year 2006 , mums are shown to complain about jay being too “boyish” and a bad influence on young girls. she ends up dying due to the skating , and after she died lacey lost it. lacey thinks that if jay had been more feminine, maybe she wouldn’t have died or been murdered in cold blood. thats why shes shown to “girl her up” because shes trying to cope with the loss and how eaisly it could have been avoided. lacey is shown to be distressed due to her death at the end as being comforted by her friend massie , jays death left her so distrubed that “the next the next the next” also becouse all her other traumas , in the other games , have effected this outcome too mentally and she lost it. Especially with the expectations of girls , again “do this sit like that be like this , stop being boyish!!” etc. (i explained it on my explanation in the last biju vid!!) she contuined thinking this it went on and on thinking about how jay would have been alive today. , due to this taking such a mental take on her. the expectations of girls doing this that and this , socail expectations. some people say that it was actually a nightmare recall of her trauma/ptsd effect. taking into consideration the entire plot , she has been through brutal trauma that relates back to what led to jays death. this made jays loss even worse for her and knowing it could have been avoided, she grevied her loss through violent thoughts which can happen to alot of people who go through this type of tramua. thats what i like to think was represented here and massie comforts lacey at the end!! it shows how they are both greviving her in different ways too. and if society rules towards girls where kinder , it wouldn’t have happend. especially because her trauma is revolved around her creepy uncle and creepy stalker , all makes sense i hope!! :) also a bit off overall explanation about lore. the characters are not real. the 2 people we see speaking are friends of ghosttrunda and ghosttrunda is “rocio”!! the one in the photograph above the character dialogue/analysis, all of this is purely for game purpose , and its not a actual game!! its a series!! set in 2006 (i think?) , made in 2022. ghosttrunda has uploded behind the secnce works of some of the parts in the game , go check out the video!! the one with the makeup game has been done quite alot!! :)

The reason why she was in a morge is because all of her cilents in the makeup game are dead corpse. That explains why all of them tend to have closed eyes and some tendencies that symbolize decomposition. (The eye opening that looks like its rotting, the skin/face peeling off, the maggots in the screen and in jays eyes. The reason why she does all of this was due to the trauma of girlhood. If you play most of the games/tapes you'd see trauma/mental health problems being inserted by using metaphors, great example is where lacey enters a horror mansion from a previous game and was shown with pigs eating flowers. There was a small flash scene talking about how when she killed her uncle he squealed like a pig. Flowers were used as a metaphor for innocence. It was like the uncle ate away and took lacey's innocence. This series highlights alot about girlhood trauma and how girls are very objected to unfair treatments anspd actions. This is just a speculation so feel free to correct me,

That's what the messaged by the "concerned mothers" were about when it said "mascots" Jay was makeupless, and non frilly, and Lacey's best friend, but killed off because of those parents. in the makeup game, Lacey is working as a morgue beautician (sorry if that's not the correct name of the job) and the colourful appearance is her pretending it's all happy and beautiful, but she starts losing it when Jay comes up, as if she is refusing to accept her best friend is gone.

I think i know the lore so far! Lacey is the traumatized girl of the club, her uncle did stuff to her (you can see what i mean at almost any theory video or comment), then her uncle killed her dog, which caused Lacey to snap and kill her uncle, then Jay died because she fell off a building while skateboarding, since skateboarding is considered masculine, Lacey says "maybe if you were a bit more feminine, this wouldn't have happened", then she puts makeup on Jay so that Jay looks more feminine, which leaves Lacey and her other friend left in the friend group so far (idk anything about the wardrobe game, maybe she used to be stalked? But then again she didn't actually die so idk what happened), now, i think Jay represents rocio since he/she died, just like Jay, and someone who makes the games has the same feelings like Lacey and made that game to represent his/her feelings, but this is just a theory lol, let me know what ya'll think!

im actually really happy that the lacey series is made up of videos and not actual games because a lot of this immersion would be hard to pull off. i feel like the video format takes away the control you have when you play a horror game. and i love that you sometimes cant tell whats actually gameplay (like someone clicking and dragging their mouse across the screen) and what movement is being forced through maybe a video in the game or forced cursor movement. the format makes you feel kind of helpless to do anything, which is definitely a key part in most horror
