Ikr this song really shows the war between sin and God I love the part at the beginning where the guy on her left is acting crazy but the one on her right turns her face towards him. It reminds me that when sin/pride tries to intimidate us or even make us doubt our salvation, God is there to show us and silence our fears. Then eventually we don't even hear pride anymore. I love that.

GOD BLESS YOU LACEY STURM. I can’t wait to watch you with Flyleaf this September when you come to Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Virginia. In June 2009, I graduated from Reidsville High School, was denied financial aid for college because of my status. Everyone made fun of me and constantly told me I would never make it. Fast forward 10 years later (then 2019), and I found myself attending my first day of college. Currently it’s 2023, and I am now a service desk technician working for a large company, with dreams of advancing my career as far as I can go. *If you happen to be reading this, please know that you are loved and that anything is possible in life even the impossible. Just remember to surround yourself around positive influences and to never give up, This lady(Lacey Sturm) has been an outstanding influence for me in my life. From reaching my dreams (through the single arise),assisting others in times of need, to growing my faith in GOD. She is truly amazing, I have met her before and seen her live three(3) times now (Reset movement 08/25/13, Green Street Live 07/20/16, & Blue Ridge 09/11/22). I hope by typing this I have inspired someone out there in following their dreams, God Bless everyone & Hallelujah. ❤❤❤

Let me take on new life and partake in the marriage of my soul to the body of Christ, the one who has redeemed me with unending grace in spite of my unworthiness.

This video/song to me, is possibly about trusting the false people and "prophets" in life, only to find out they are wolves in sheep's clothing. But why give up personal faith or self-worth just because some wicked human hurt you? Yet she lives through it, and picks herself up moving forward. Until a new event caused another mental break. I do wish her music reaches people needing comfort. Lacey's solo stuff sounds more generic. Yes-her singing stands out but Flyleaf is more than her and it reeeeaaaally shows in the music itself. Their guitar and bass arrangement is top notch while they're definitely not on the same level in her solo songs. To be fair this particular song shows some promise but still far from Flyleaf's level(except for the emotional and powerful vocals).

@@chadsix4838 Lacey's solo stuff reminds me more of Skillet. a little more Alternative rock sounding where Flyleaf was closer to Grunge and a little heavier version of rock while not being metal (for their first album at least and not counting the first song which was definitely more metal)

I love how Lacey conveys the truth of God in her songs, "pride is a killer"... And yet how she also remains human , and candid.. We need to hear more of that...we need to know the Lord as love. ...to know that He too was human and experienced EVERY single solitary thing we feel. Way to go, Lacey!! I know that this won't be everyone's perspective by the way and that's their right..This is how I perceive it, however.
