Her music works for me because unlike 99.9% of all the other self identified "Christian" bands and singers she has a certain amount of darkness to her music. She just doesn't cover the whole God is great and glory be to he (hey that rhymes) that most of the other one's do. She's not afraid to look at the duality of life. There is always darkness but there is always a light too which is why I always love her music. She hasn't forgotten that darkness even as she's become an agent of light.

@Interestingenough47 жыл бұрын
And this is what Flyleaf has been missing since Lacey's departure...honest, unbridled emotion and edge. Lacey was the definitive difference between Flyleaf and many other post-grunge/alt-metal bands of the 2000s. When you heard Lacey start singing, you KNEW it was Flyleaf. Kristen was a decent singer, but her in front of Flyleaf was like nailing a square peg into a round hole, a huge mismatch. Probably was a big reason why Kristen quit after only about four years. Hopefully down the road, Flyleaf and Lacey will get back together. In the meantime, at least we have this stuff to listen to from Lacey.

Ryan Ahr No nothing crazy you know what happened. She left Flyleaf to have a kid. I respect that and she gave Flyleaf to someone she thought would keep the band going. Cool, whatever and I do still like Flyleaf. The problem I have is Lacey came back and just made the band her own name while throwing Flyleaf under the bus. She wasn't even gone that long either that it'd have made more sense for the band to go on hiatus than the way she acted as her never coming back. I think that's straight foul.

@Vadem_Black5 жыл бұрын
@I say shotgun, you say wedding Given your condescending tone i'm going to presume you aren't christian nor are you very respectful to us. We are taught to become like Jesus as he is the perfect example to aspire to be, that doesn't mean that we cannot be unique and have different personality and character traits. Jesus teaches that it is the example to adhere to in regards to being passive in the face of violence, however self defense is acceptable if someone has intentions to do you or your loved ones harm, even to the point of killing them. Example Matthew 26:50-54 KJV. That does not mean that we are to leisurely take a life, but the simple fact that the people around Jesus whom were followers were armed, it's reasonable to presume that given the appropriate circumstances that self defense or the preservation of anothers life is acceptable.

Certo. :D

@@bazookallamaproductions5280 unfortunately, there are a handful of things you are misunderstanding from scripture. you seem to have your mind made up, though, so why ask? because you think you can't be proven wrong? I will do my best to answer, not because I want to prove you wrong, but because I see that this could be an opportunity to help someone who has these same questions and is looking for answers with an honest and open heart. satan doesn't punish anyone. God is the One who punishes sin because He is morally perfect and He is a just judge. He is the one we will face on judgement day/the day we die. He judges every thought, every action, every hidden thing that is a sin against Him. you cannot talk your way out of it by talking about all of your good works, just like in this world a judge will not dismiss you for a crime just because you do mostly good things, you are still guilty of the crime and will have to take the consequence for it. satan is the one who leads people astray and away from God, away from the truth of Christ, which is this; He took the punishment for the sin of the world so that anyone who trusts in Him will be saved. Much like in this world, if you have speeding fines and the judge is telling you it is very serious, but that someone has paid your fines and the judge can legally let you go because the fine was paid by another. This is what Christ did on the cross. when we live through Him, then God will dismiss our case on the day of judgement and we receive the free gift of life. we are all born with a sin nature, so it is natural to us. no one ever taught me how to lie, how to steal, how to lust. I did those things on my own because of the sin nature Adam brought to humanity when he sinned against God in the garden. God did not make us with a sin nature, the fall brought that to us. I was born in sin, this does not mean it is the way God meant for me to be. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, He is not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance (which is turning away from sin). He made a way for us to be made new and our sin nature to be removed. Being born again gives you a new heart with new desires to do that which is righteous, and it is required of believers to study the bible and sin no longer. God would have been unjust to ask this of us if it were impossible, but He made a way through Christ (Who is also the Word). Even straight people have to deny their sexuality. we are not made perfect yet, so sometimes evil thoughts do still come, but we know what we must do when that happens to remain right with God because we study His Word. In the bible, God says He uses "foolish things to confound the wise," (1 corinthians 1:27). meaning, people who seem wise by the world or think that they are wise will dismiss the Word for seeming foolish. this is because God gives grace to the humble but resists the proud and without faith it is impossible to please Him. This is why He says you must become like a child, open your heart and be willing to learn from the One who gave you life. any mistakes in the bible are from us not understanding. it's not contradictory as the unbelievers tend to think. I believe the crusades and spanish inquisition were the work of the catholic church, which I (as a believer of the whole bible) believe is a completely different religion. there are examples of God leading people into war, but not every war that claims to be led by "god" are of God. I don't know of any information that shows the average person stopped believing in witches at any point in time. there have always been practitioners of witchcraft that profess being a witch, so, I don't know why the average person would simply not believe they exist. Saying the average person doesn't believe in witches is kind of offensive to professing witches, isn't it? funny... kind of like how people deny there is a God but He is also real... I also do not agree that the way the salem witch trials were held were biblical and performed by true believers of the whole bible. the bible is clear that we should lead the lost to the Cross, not put them on trial and sentence them to death. That is the job of God. He judges if a person is guilty and has the power to cast them into hell. BUT!!!!!!!!!! He is giving us time and a chance NOW to accept Christ and be saved from hell. However, when our bodies die, we will be too late. We can't change our life decisions at judgement. if we stand before a judge in this world and say "I won't do it again," he will say "of course, as you SHOULD, but you are still guilty of this crime and you will be punished for it." the only way we can be pardoned is by being truly sorry and repentant (turning away from sin) and trusting in Christ, so our fine will show a 0 balance on the day of judgement.

I am categorized and hated due to my looks by women who claim to be equality for women! The world has rejected me because I do not conform and remember that He was hated first!

The battle is finished in eternity, we are transitioning into the eternal from our temporal beginning. Learn to rest in God's redemptive work through Jesus Christ, believing that He chose you before the foundation of the world... take every opportunity to speak the truth to the enemy of your soul, reveal the abundance of the new heart God has given to those who walk in the reality that Jesus Christ is Lord and He was raised from the dead. The price for sin had been paid in eternity, and Jesus called out His victory and began the engagement of our souls that never experience death through this divine demonstration of Love.

some people don’t act on what God desires from them when they should. God gives us a choice to choose Him. He wants us to choose Him, but He won’t force us. it’s not like He wanted to kill those children, that was a result of the parents of those children not obeying his desires. besides, children who aren’t old enough to make the decision of choosing God automatically go to Heaven when they die. and for the crusades and things of that sort, as a Christian myself i completely agree that all of it was wrong. however, those people who claimed to be Christians did not understand the Bible. they took things out of context, thinking that killing Jews and Muslims were the right thing to do. anyone that claims to be a Christian and is like that isn’t a real Christian. anyways sorry for rambling, i will say you aren’t wrong on some parts, but you aren’t completely right either. hopefully this was informative or something. i’m sorry if i angered you in any way

My mother was a prostitute and drug addict. As a result I was in the foster care system for many years. Almost two decades later I found my mother, she was still walking the streets and taking drugs. You can't change everyone...the first person you should be concerned about is yourself. When you are on solid ground, then you can help others. Jesus found me in a group home back in the 80s and turned "my" life around. I pray for my mother...she's suffering from various illnesses as a result of her life style. I've talked to her about Jesus many times and she says she has accepted Him...I hope this is true. I can't judge her heart and I really want to see her in Heaven.
