I LOVED Susan Elizabeth Phillip's backlist novels!! Kiss An Angel is one of my favorites.

That's the word, groveling! I've been reading so many books and most of my fav books have this trope. Because I love a book that has a lot of yearning and a hero trying to win a heroine back. Can you do books with jealous tropes like the main characters gets jealous but there's nothing to be jealous of because the person he/she jealous of is not really into his/her pair?

I just finished The Day of the Duchess yesterday! I didn't expect to love it, based on book 1in the series, but they're now my favorite couple in Rogues & Scandals series! Sarah MacLean did a great job redeeming Malcolm and showing how both characters have grown and changed through the book. I'm also eagerly anticipating epic groveling in Daring and the Duke!

The Wanted Wife is so good. I read it in two sittings and my heart ached 90% of the book. Edit: Kiss an Angel was my first Susan Elizabeth Phillips book (my favourite romance author actually recommended her to me) and I fell in love with her writing. Currently I’m reading Match Me If You Can from the Chicago Stars series. Have you read anything by Michelle Holman? I absolutely love her books! She’s definitely my favourite romance authors.

Thanks for the recs! I read the last one (True Love Story) and I’m with you, some great grovelling and the letters he writes are just *chefs kiss* the only issue I found with the book is there is not much detail about the cheating really, they talk about it a little and you kind of get the gist of how long it went on for but I needed more info to forgive him, like what was he thinking at the time? I needed to know more. If your worried about reading any of the actual cheating don’t worry there isn’t much of it in the way of flashbacks or anything. But like you said I appreciated that they were apart longer than they were together and she really did try and move on. Will check out the others. Thanks!
