Lachlan Forsyth tries to get hypothermia so you don't have to.

We took Lachlan out for a controlled experiment on the south coast of Wellington, in winter, with a brisk southerly coming in. It wasn't long before he got VERY cold in the interests of science.
Please note: This was a controlled experiment. Before we started, Lachlan swallowed a pill-sized thermometer and strapped on a heart rate monitor. We had Wellington Free Ambulance, MSC and hypothermia expert Jim Cotter with us to monitor things.

Wow, I saw others saying this was their preferred method on another video as well. I'm planning to use this method too, but I didn't realize that it was this popular or common...I wonder how many 'accidental' cases of hypothermia were on purpose. I thought I had picked an unorthodox method, I guess not. Best of luck to you all! I hope it's easy and as pain-free as possible. I hope to record mine to document it so that others can see how painful or nonpainful extreme hypothermia is, as well as how persistent the delirium is. I plan on taking sleeping pills, kava, and alcohol as well to make it a whole lot easier.

Just wanted to make sure that all of you plan on doing this when you're very old and potentially sick. Rather than in the near future. And that you let your loved ones know in advance and leave a letter. And make sure they know where you are, as to protect people rrom later encountering a frozen body and being scared shitless and traumatized.
