Lachlan there is a shark called the cave shark to get him you need to get a rock from below and then you need to get a bomb bat which is those things hanging from the rocks and then you need to find some yellow vines close to the far coral reef and then wait there for him (no huge hook needed and you can use a light)

maw is middle water not deep penyfin is a small at the right side of the coral reef also if you go were the bonefish (yes you need a bomb to wake them up good job on that) and the threshers are go to the bottom go left and cave shark 800k hardest fish in the game use scouting rod upgrade to get a round rock search left side just above cave then use it to catch a bombat (fish on the roof you saw) then use the bombat as bate for the cave shark DO NOT USE A HUGE HOOK IT WILL NOT BITE. also go to the bottom but left to find night fish sire's 380k most valuable large fish in the sea.(wall separates cave shark from night fish sire so go above that area to the left then down).GLHF

A bobat is the small blue fish in the cavern you need the "bubble thing" as you called it to catch it (be carful bringing it up other fish will eat it. Also use a lightbulb to see in the cavern

To catch a bombat you need a rock from the bottom, (you called it a bubble) once hooked the bombats will go for it. You can also use bombats to catch the of the biggest fish in the game
