For me competition is a long time done thing. I own Aurvana Air, they won red dot design reward back in 2009. Regarding me they are still most comfortable, best sounding in the move (with ear hook) ones. They use both Foster cable and 15.5mm SP driver while I am certain schelling design is also theirs. Nothing changed much from then, Onkyo flagship in ears E700M employ the same schelling design so I am confident nothing will change much. Those who want similar sounding to Aurvana Air but considerably cheaper Earphones should buy Edifier H190 which is actually the Foster reference model 529201 (same driver's). Best regards.
