I had a few people wanting to see the full clip of me playing the whole tune so I thought I'd mix the original video Dino made with the video I sent him of me tracking. I also turned the Hammond up a little for you guys.

@@fz0gtg Moved out to a very rural area 12 yrs ago, and I put an ad in Craigslist for an acoustic guitar player for me to play bass with just for fun. A guy about a half mile from my place was the first to respond. I find out he is a huge Boston fan too. He was just learning to play drums, about a year into the process. We became friends. A year after I met him he went into a coma for a few months. He got a severe fungal infection in his lungs. When he finally woke up and eventually came home from the hospital, he was barely able to use a walker and his mind had lost a lot of function. Four months after he came home, he passed. His cousin who lives next door to him asked if I wanted to buy his no name drums. I did. And every time I play those drums, (which is often) I play some Boston and remember him.

Being a 70s kid I grew up with Boston,The Eagles,KISS,Foreigner and the list goes on. I need music more than ever with an emptiness in my heart with the passing of my girlfriend of 40 years and my daughter dying in my arms last year. At 1st, I didn't see his name in the line up, so i was trippin when i saw him in there. I never thought I would hear this song covered… at least not this well. One of my all time favorite bands and one of my all time favorite songs! This song evokes so many memories and emotions, and to hear it done THIS FREAKING WELL just blew me away. I am such a critic of covers, especially when I have an emotional connection to the original. But this is definitely my favorite version now… Sorry Boston! I just wish I could find it on Apple Music so I can add it to my playlist and put it on infinite repeat!!

This was really a great tribute to Boston! I loved how it was faithful to the original in many ways but allowed the different artists to express their own spin on it. I especially liked Mike Portnoy on the drums. Mike is absolutely one of the best drummers out there today.

Glade to see young people who appreciate good rock music, and also can play as well. Their approach to this classic Boston song was a little different but had a little twist to it that did not screw the song up. Being a drummer for over 40 years the drummer was excellent did a great job. The lead vocals were absolutely wonderful, everyone did a great job

I think for those of us who grew up with this music, there's a fine line to tread for those who repeat it...if you want to embellish it, you have to keep some of the main key elements of the original or it just becomes a new song rather than a tribute. For me, this was a very excellent representation of how to embellish it in a way that makes it a kick ass tribute with perks... :D
