Ok, because I'm insane and it's my life goal right now to understand Mordecai's ramblings, here's my attempt at it; He said they speak with an accent coupled with much French, and they don't pronounce certain consonants. Then, he makes a sort of joke jab exaggeration, saying that New York accents also don't pronounce certain consonants, but his coworkers do it to a degree it would confuse even New Yorkers. If I got this wrong, forgive me. All I did was look up the fancy words and try to make heads or tails of what that meant for the specific context 😭😭😭

I'd say almost everyone's design is slightly different. I think it's because the director Fable Siegel has a slightly different artstyle when compared to Tracy Butler's.

I'm just glad I found out about Lackadaisy. It's even better than The Sopranos, The Godfather, or any of the other mobster/gangster stuff that's out these days. Better characters, better story, hard language but not too over the top, no sex, a lot of violence but I've seen worse.

Technically, they're not furries. Tracy just finds it easier to draw them as cats because she feels their faces show more emotion, and they're more expressive is all. She has drawn them as humans before, but the cat versions are more natural for her as far as the comic goes, and you get used to them in this form the more you read it. And yes, I agree, the voices are awesome! Kudos to Prozd and Keri for such a great fandub of this scene.
