This game deserves an award. I can’t even explain how good it was. The beautiful art style and story outcomes are perfect! I cried while I played this game because of the changes the characters go through and the rekindling of Cat and Neil’s relationship. Zora stood out the most to me, I won’t mention about it, because it would spoil it. Nevertheless, this game NEEDS a sequel, dlc, or a spin off for separate stories (Cath, Zora, Gary, Laura, and Albert Cox). I fell in love with this game and I bought it at first because I thought “why not, it’s on sale and I have left over money from buying TMNT”. I ended up playing this more than TMNT. Long live Digitales Games, we need to see more!

This does seem really well done, the visuals look nice and the story sounds intriguing. But I admit I do find it annoying when you get stuck with a choice you made and have to play through an entire game again to make another (scene/chapter selection mitigates this a bit). But I might try this one when I get a chance. Thanks for the review.

I can see where you are coming from but once you play the game you realize how meaningful and important it is to make each decision because you can't turn back. I personally loved the decision.

The reason why I am leaving this comment here is because Lacuna is beautiful. This game is to me perfect from a narrative perspective and the visuals are so impressive in the truest sense of the word because they stay on your mind emotionally in all the right ways. The review you are watching right now really does it justice with its high praise ( I want to add that it does have Steam achievements nowadays ) and the short length helps it to actually live up to being replayable.

Really good game that oozes style and has a great sound track. However, found it slightly simple and managed to clear it with (i think) the best ending on my first crack. The sheets could have been a little bit more complex. Story was very interesting

Personally I'm not AT ALL a fan of so many indie games going with this art style. I didn't grow up on 80's/early 90's console gaming and therefore the pixel art has no nostalgic value to me, and it just looks fucking hideously ugly. I'm all for 2D games, I understand constrained budgets and small development teams, but to me it feels extremely difficult to immerse myself in a games story when the world and characters look like digital vomit. Perhaps I've been spoiled by gorgeous indie's like Transistor, Hades, Mark Of The Ninja, INSIDE, Limbo etc.. but IMO the pixel art look is just lazy

With that said, this game's story & tone is SO up my alley that I might check it out regardless. This is more of a general statement about this style of art design
