I absolutely adore spears. Chinese Martial Arts call it the "King of Weapons". Versatile, easy to use, deadly at longer range, able to be manufactured in large numbers and when combined with shields and an infantry line was anathema to cavalry forces.

What make are the pluderhosen? (puffy pants) there seem to be at least two variants. I'd love to get ones with some padding.

im not having any luck finding out for you. there was an original pair and the rest were copied by a friend with the equipment to make them. they are all capable of withstanding 350 newtons if that helps your search

I just purchased a HEMA spearhead, would you recommend a good place to purchase a spear shaft? I'm told that no bigger than 1 1/8 dia.

Lawbringer? HEMA is not famous. Because people can die easily if we used real sharp swords. But still more practical than boxing, mma, and ufc. 👍
