This to me, is the the most fiery and violent position for Mars. Why? Because what is repressed must come out. This is a good example of a volcano. The anger hibernates and is built up until it is finally all released. This is so accurate but I feel like Ive worked through some of mars in the 12th house bad traits. I use to be extremely passive aggressive and didn't realize how toxic this was- passive aggressiveness can keep a relationship from evolving because anger must be expressed in a healthy manner, anyways I started to work on my communication skills whenever I got angry, rather than give cold shoulders, silent treatments and imagining myself blowing up as a coping mechanism for all the suppress energy. He also tries not to express his anger outwardly and although I don't think he does it out of evil intent or will ever admit it, he does have the tendency "plot"/ make plans secretively to get what he wants. In Tropical Astrology, I have Mars in the 12th house, cusping the 1st, Saturn in the 6th/7th house cusp, and my IC is Sag 5 (gate of god) and MC is Gem 5 (gate of man)- a Stellium in Scorpio in 3rd house that includes my north node, and Chiron in the 1st. I have no idea what I'm doing with my life however, and I will be homeless in the next few weeks.
