As a Mars in 10th conjunct regulus, I have learned that first you play your role. Learn from the boss, to avoid conflict. Your time will come, just make the most of it. Everything you said here - amen! I have been married for a long time to a Mars in the 10th house guy. Yes, this placement makes him a Martian! Intense. Driven. Argressive. Ambitious. Competitive. Ok So I have mars in the 10th house but it is debilitated in Cancer squars Aries (venus) in the 7th but trine Jupiter in the 6th house. Oh yes Rahu is what we have not done in past lives and might indicate areas we are afraid to venture in this life, but we have to. Life will keep putting you in situations in which you have to be competitive. The secret with Rahu Mars is learn balanced expression of assesrtiveness and action.
