There have already been six rounds of talks regarding the issues of Ladakh, particularly concerning recruitment, yet no concrete outcomes have been achieved. The demands seem inconsistent-sometimes they call for the creation of a separate PSC for Ladakh, other times they don’t; sometimes they propose 80% reservation and other times 95%, with no written assurances in place. How can we trust the government under such uncertain circumstances? Mark my words, nothing substantial is likely to come out of the talks scheduled for January 15. As the saying goes, "Justice delayed is justice denied." Fingers crossed, but the hope is slim.
