What type of yarn did you use? Acrylic, cotton....

I could only find my 3.5 mm crochet hook. This skirt will be a practice round and I'm curious to see how it will compare. I don't think the medium (4) weight yarn I'm using could go any smaller of a hook.

Thank you for the tutorial..my issue is my foundation chain starts off at 41 inches which is my desired length but about half way through my skirt measures 3 to 4 inches longer..what am I doing wrong? Should I be counting the stitches on each row?

Counting stitches for such a skirt will be a lot of work and you would get confused along the way. Just make sure you're not adding any extra stitch along the way. Alternatively you can do a chain that is 38 inches to accommodate the 3 inches
