Hello thanks for your amazing idea and tutorial! You could measure her underbust size. After the pregnancy is over she can add a drawstring so she can keep wearing it.

You can use any yarn you prefer. I always check the hook size recommendation for the yarn and then usually go up a size since I‘m a tight crocheter

@@kimberlyrichards5624 unfortunately the local brand I used doesn’t mention the size. For the waist, I just doubled the strand of the same yarn. You may use any yarn you prefer, if you want a light skirt, go lighter on the yarn. It doesn’t matter what size I used, the outcome is the same
