Well, they give hints for the same reason we may make a lame "Unless!" "joke" about something that is terrifying. It is to avoid having to be the one to ask. Avoid being the one that to ask and possibly feel awkward or uncomfortable if their feelings aren't mutual. Even my girlfriend did it, and admitted that she was just too scared of being the one asking. Yeah, it sucks for us guys, but let us be honest here, if we could avoid having to be the ones that "had" to ask girls out on dates we would almost certainly take it. I sure as fuck would at least... Re story 16 - Some guys (maybe a lot of guys) aren't that good at dealing with sudden, unexpected situations. OP's mind is on those sneakers, and by the sound of it he's been thinking about it for days. Suddenly, he's in this situation that he finds super uncomfortable (unfamiliar place, unfamiliar person etc), having to deal with something he never expected to get to deal with. There's no way he's going to mentally turn on a dime and handle that well, regardless of how much he might have wanted to once he'd had a chance to process :D I actually had the opposite happen once. Was walking back from a night out with some friends when we encountered a group of girls also walking back home (most students in the town lived in the same area). When it came time for the two groups to part ways, the girl I'd been chatting to made some very obvious eye movements and invited me to come along with her. I nodded, and went along with them. Two minutes later, halfway up the road, I realised that I didn't want my first time to be with a random girl I met on the way home, and I didn't actually feel all that comfortable with a group of people I didn't know, going to a place I didn't know. A apologised, excused myself, and turned back. My friends had a right laugh at my expense, but nearly 20 years on I don't regret my actions.

Im the same way. Tunnel vision accomplish mission mindset. Story: currently in the military. Went on this 4 day retreat trip with a bunch of soldiers. On the third day, a female soldier that was chillin with our group was sitting outside on the patio for breakfast. I noticed this and was like something was off. Went out and asked her what's up. So she tells me she didn't feel comfortable with one of the male soldiers because he was staring at her and standing next to her while they were doing a yoga class. Also ever since that comment, I’ve also found out that yes there is actually a lot of someone either has a mental disability, neurological disability learning disorder or their IQ is literally too low for them to consent to the concept of having a good time in the bedroom so even if they say yes, but don’t fully understand the concept You can actually still face legal trouble. And also looking into some legal cases of this actually happening, especially with people with very significantly low IQ the cases are usually just thrown out, neither do you just system or the court will actually do anything. However, your reputation is still damaged and the person with law. IQ can still be intelligent enough to make your life horrible months after while at the same time like you still have to deal with like the guilt trip of taking advantage of someone so stupid and these people usually have some sort of care or more intelligent family member. They can actually still speak up on their behalf and then I can make allsorts of more trouble for you than what it’s really worth so it’s not actually worth it and for this reason alone is actually, why I just avoid people who are not intelligent and don’t actually have like a formal education into like something. They don’t need to have a Masters degree, but they need to have some sort of formal education like at least been to college or university or something.

I'm a guy but I'm guilty of being oblivious. There was this girl that was on my swim team from a different high school (she was the only one on the swim team from her school so she joined our schools team during training) . Well she was the most beautiful girl i had ever met and I was head over heels for her. However she mentioned she had a boyfriend and I respected that as much as I could but I just loved watching her jump into the pool always made my mornings. Anyway at the end of the year our coach organized a group dinner at a nice Texan restaurant.
