You're absolutely correct when you say that we here in the states do not anyone comparable to Glennis covering Whitneys' songs. No one is even close. This lady is special. I just hope she is not pigeonholed into being a Whitney clone. She so much more than that. There's a clip of her covering "Annie's Song", a John Denver tune from the 70's. Totally different from Whitneys' material. I believe you'd enjoy it.

There are only three artists performing this song live on KZbin. Whitney, Glennis and Christina. Glennis has studied the studio recording and copies it in perfection. Whitney's live performance doesn't come close to the movie version. Christina's live version is the weakest of the three.

She a powerhouse, thats for sure, and there is likely no equal at this moment. Like any good singer, she had training as well, BUT.. training only will not take many to her level, to get there, you have to be born to do it, just like she was born to be such a vocal powerhouse.

Thank you for your compliments. I'm Dutch myself and yes.....we are proud to be blessed with such amazing talent! A bit of a problem is that lots of people here seems already used to her voice and don't give her enough room/credits to express and develop herself. It's like we are used to her as just a normal Dutch Woman...... Maybe Holland is indeed to small for such voice. Although we do have 17 million citizens....I'm confident that people in the Us will appreciate her voice more than we do. The Us is simply more like a show country, music takes a huge part in it. It's the stage she deserves!

Not taking anything away from Whitney, but Glennis makes me feel the song with such emotion that very few singers can do. She knows where the dynamics should go & doesn't over sing the song.With these singers today, they diffidently over sing, they want to hit every lick they can get in.Glennis reminds me of the singers we used to have,I hope she hits it big,very few singers ,if any, hit it at her age but it would be wonderful to see.
