This channel has legitimately improved my life -- and videos like this are part of why. The truth that women are by nature feminine has been badly distorted by social constructionist gender theory. Judith Butler's idea that there is no innate difference between men and women and that gender is entirely performative has permeated our culture and thrown men and women alike into identity crises. I am grateful that through God's word and channels like yours I am able to gain more clarity about who I am as a woman. Keep up the good work.

So I feel like women who say "I hate men" or "I don't need men" tend to try to act like men. They wear men's clothes, cut their hair short and sort of try to come off as masculine even if they still consider themselves female. I feel like liberal women a lot of the time lie when they say "I don't need men" when they accept trans women around them. I feel like deep down they don't actually see them as women, but go as far as to go along with it because they really do want men around them. I feel like a lot of them were hurt by toxically masculine men or done wrong by men that it got to a point where they were willing to accept any kind of man around them who they feel safe with, and what more safety can a women get around other women? Even if they are just coming off as women. The media has always really pushed feminity being some kind of trait only mean girls in movies take on or that their femininity is their entire personality. Like how the media has tended to associate pink to a mean blonde or something of that sort. But now that men are starting to speak up about wanting high quality feminine women, I feel like women have been so brainwashed into pushing their femininity down that they'll call the men who say this misogynistic and avoid the fact that women are at their best when they are feminine. I think women are just hurt and tired of the back and forth. I think a lot of them really do want men but have been forced to do "masculine" things that sort of makes them clash with their man in their relationships and ultimately fail because there's no stable balance. There's just a women trying to be masculine and lead and a man who's forced to submit because of that and end up living in their woman's house who pays all the bills and takes care of the kids. This is my take on it at least. And even though Andrew Tate can be pretty sh*tty sometimes I feel like he's not wrong about a lot of the things he says either. I feel like a lot of women hate him too because they are usually misguided, brainwashed, and unaccepting of the truth. Anyways you're a brilliant woman and I love your vids! "We might have to be masculine if we are unsafe" But are we "being masculine", or is that our human survival instinct kicking in? I believe there is social pressure to deny the part of our womanhood that protects, gets angry, or that can have high executive functioning because it may contradict societal norms of femininity. Framing part of our humanity as "masculine" and "other" keeps us from stepping into the fullness of who we are and are called to be. If it's human to want to protect yourself, and you are a woman, then it is part of your feminity. If we're female, we're feminine.

It’s not always bad to be masculine. It completely depends on the circumstances, but I do understand what you’re saying. I’m relieved to have a man to protect and provide for me. Who can call me down when I’m emotional. At the same time, I do want to have to ability to be assertive and logical when the circumstances call for it. For example I have family members who are atheists and think Christianity is nonsense. In order to engage with them, I need to be logical and rational, and not play into emotions because they see Christian’s as hyper emotional kooks lol. So yes, being feminine is wonderful. But there is value in cultivating masculine traits in certain circumstances. Unless you want/need to let your husband take over those situations then all power to you. I like to engage in rational apologetic debates, so it’s important for me to be in touch with my “masculine” side.

I don’t know if this helps, but keep in mind that your anger doesn’t make you masculine. It just makes you… angry 😅❤ a woman’s anger is still expressed in a woman’s way, it doesn’t make you “manly”… however, it’s still good to control your anger & learn how to forgive & be more gentle. But, men should do that too, because anger is not the same as strength or masculinity. Anger is just a sin that anyone can and does fall into. I hope that helps! ❤

I am a Muslim woman, and besides the differences and similarities between the two religions, I am so grateful that finally someone could speak about that transgender issue in a realistic way, thank you! It is not about just our organs, not that easy. Why does not society encourage people to embrace their genders, and search for why they do not feel like man or a woman but in opposite gender, rather they basically ''if you do not feel that way, why don't you just change it''? Other than that, I feel closer to this point of view about gender roles than everything is equal for everyone. I also think that if two genders were equally responsible, there would be no space to help our spouses for God's sake (Allah in my case). It is good to have a space to ''help'' not always doing it because we are responsible for that. Again, thank you for your content!

Wrong. We harness both feminine and masculine energy within us. That is the law of the yin and yang. A boy is born a male but feminine energy lives within him through his connection with his mother. Later, he passes it on to his girlfriend or wife. But if a man is with another man, he passes femininity onto his male lover. However, a woman has her father's masculinity living inside her. Then she will pass it on to her husband. But sometimes both genders can withhold their energy. Thus, the energy never flows and moves.

One wouldn’t strive to balance being healthy and unhealthy, beautiful and ugly, good or evil because we know that balance is about being equal parts between two things. While masculinity or femininity aren’t inherently better than the other balancing the two would imply that they are equal within a person, and being equally feminine and masculine is not what men and women were made to do.

This is spot on. I don't want to be as unhealthy as I am healthy. I might compromise my health by falling off the streak with some bad choices, but it's never something that I'm proud of. I struggle and that keeps me going. It's very opposed to a world of equals. Oh, you know what else? There's people who say evil needs to exist for good to exist. It's a misunderstanding. Our priest talked about physical health in parallel to spiritual healing today. We read about the healing of the Paralytic. He was afflicted for 38 years before he could walk. My issue with this is that women OBVIOUSLY don’t have the natural tendencies to behave in a feminine way to the same degree. Watch little children. There are always girls who act more like boys and other girls who don’t and the same way with boys too. I get your point that this is still feminine behavior because women are born female and I was actually happy to hear it at first but then you basically said that it is simply every woman’s true nature to be submissive, gentle and quiet and that every woman who isn’t that way needs guidance to be more like that. That would imply that girls who are born with the natural tendencies to act feminine all the time are inherently better than girls who aren’t. Maybe you will learn this as you have more children. I think I understand what you’re saying but you’re completely ignoring personality differences which is what makes it seem “extreme” to me. I would understand if you said every woman should have certain behaviors to a degree. Acting in a compassionate way for example or even letting the husband take the lead but your message as I understood it was basically that all women naturally are quiet and submissive and that any woman who acts differently is still feminine but not in the best way possible. I don’t get why you’re so focused on this extreme binary idea. I personally think that women should be in touch with the feminine tendencies they have and don’t reject them but they shouldn’t be forced to act as something they aren’t. Just because you are naturally more submissive and quiet it doesn’t mean that that is every woman’s true nature.

I hear what you’re saying, in fact I had a similar reaction to yours while I was listening to her. But I don’t think she’s advocating for changing one’s entire personality just to become more feminine, nor do I believe she would say that if you don’t express more feminine traits than you’re less of a woman. Rather I think what she seems to really be advocating for is the balance between soft/gentle traits and hard/tough traits, while at the same time insisting that our nature/biology is either female or male, not both or fluid. To elaborate on what I mean, I’ll just share what I had commented: Perhaps better terminology to use for the outer behavior that we exhibit are “soft/softness” and “hard/hardness”. So instead of saying “a man incorporates the feminine trait of compassion in order to become a better leader,” we could say “a man incorporates the soft/gentle trait of compassion in order to become a better leader”. Likewise, “a woman incorporates the hard/hardy/tough trait of discernment in order to avoid putting herself in compromising situations,” instead of “a woman incorporates the masculine trait of discernment in order to avoid putting herself in compromising situations.” This emphasizes how behavior is related to one’s personality and expression, and is _not_ related to one’s nature and biology.

First off, I just want to say I love your channel and really appreciate your content. It's a normal thing for me to see one of your titles and not be on the same page as the statement, but usually after watching the video and seeing where you are coming from, I realize actually agree. After seeing this title, I felt the same as I would any other, but I was definitely more interested than I have been before. I was surprised that by the end of the video, it ended up being something that I disagreed with. However, this is definitely something I really appreciate. We have people in our lives, nowadays some that we don't know personally, that guide us, and after a while of being on the same page as them for so long, we forget something very important when it comes to guidance from other human beings; our differences. In my life, one of the biggest and most important lessons has been, "We are different, and that's beautiful." The message is obviously much deeper than that, but needless to say, it is a very important factor in what I got from this video. Even though, one of the main reasons I enjoy this channel as much as I do is because it's a place on the internet where I can come for guidance, that factor in itself is still very true. We are all different. So as some who disagree with the points made in this video, I am still very grateful to have watched it because of this realization itself. At the end of the day, you are a Christian woman, and everything you said was very true, to the Christian woman and the beliefs you guys follow. So even though the intended lesson of this video was not meant for me, I know it will be very beneficial to the guidance of the Christian woman and her journey with God. I am one who admires candor and the way you so respectfully and femininely disagreed is refreshing. I think that what you point out about differences is totally valid. So often we seek to only focus on that which is held in common and dislike seeing the opposite. I look at my mom friends, realizing our parenting styles are different, diets vary, hobbies diverge, etc., but we are religious, holistic-centered, and struggling on our homeschool journeys. I'm growing more accepting of the reality that each family has it's own dynamic that works for them, even with it's faults, weaknesses, or trials. It's humbling. Thanks for being brave to put up your comment and do so in a decent way. It's good feedback. I’m Christian & I see all over society saying that women have a masculine side even in official published research papers & written books talking about women & men having both a masculine & feminine side & I believed it bcs it’s what I grew up being told was right & I never questioned it because it was so normalized to me. But I just saw the title of your video & for the first time in my life I questioned it & watching the video I realized you r right women & men are so much different than I thought thank you so much for making this video you have really opened my eyes & made me use my critical thinking skills I am so glad I found your channel your videos really help me see life through a new lens & think about life in a different perspective. It's just you being your own person, but it's not the same as being inherently masculine. The same is vice versa. I know many guys who are more i.e sensitive, gentle, have this kind of personality or that kind of charm etc and they claim that they aren't like other men because of it.... Still there's nothing feminine or womanly about them. It's just their personality and that's okay. But we all should embrace and love our gender and embrace the fact that our respective femininity/masculinity looks different than in other people. At the end of the day, I don’t see it as indulging to let someone do what they want with their own body. After 18 - do what you want. “Come back to reality” - each person has their own reality. What I heard was “come back to MY reality” (what I believe is correct). Some want to cater to being a more “masculine” woman. Those women will attract more feminine men - for better or worse. And we have to let women struggle on some level to figure out why this is so. I know, coming from a Christian upbringing, that it’s awfully tempting to control what others do by suggesting or telling them what they are doing is “wrong.” To save others. What takes more courage is to be an example - to live our lives the way we want others to live. And let others do the same. The number of trans men “infiltrating” is extremely low, and of course a trans man or woman is still a person and there will always be people who are good and bad/evil. Just as non-trans Christian pastors have also done horrible things to children - but no one condemns all pastors. Anyway, talk like this is everyone’s freedom - and has been known not to help those who feel/know they want to be trans or act as the masculine in a queer setting, rather pushes them to hate themselves until they commit suicide. There is a better way - and it’s to let others be who they want to be. I love that you have a life that you love and a faith that fulfills you. That’s it. That’s the feeling in my reality that I wish more would embrace, but again it’s just my reality.

Thank you for making this video Jasmyne, it is more progressive and comforting than other femininity videos that push the notion that women have to be/act a certain way in order to be feminine. Like you said, femininity is not performative, but rather women are innately feminine. Personally, I’ve come to the realisation and acceptance that a woman doesn’t have to be soft and quiet in order to be feminine. Being passionate and expressive/outspoken is also a very feminine/womanly trait and one trait is not better than the other. God created us with different personalities for a reason and we should embrace our differences. No one should be trying to act as something that they are not in order to be more “feminine”. One’s soft and quiet personality fits and works for that one individual’s life and the plans that God has for said person, and likewise one’s passionate/strong/dominant personality fits and works for that one individual’s life and the plans that God has for them. It’s ok to have preferences but no one should be made to feel less than.

I think we often confuse gender which is binary and temperament which is a spectrum. We are as women 100% feminine from the gender view but on a temperament scale depending on testosterone levels (among other things) temperaments vary from feminine and masculine traditionally attributed to male/female. I am fully woman but I also have a higher testosterone level as the average woman and my temperament matches that. Just as there a men with lower testosterone as the Average man with a more traditional feminine temperament. You can call it whatever you want but I think once you separate gender from temperament it clears up the confusion without erasing binary gender and at the same time accepting that we vary personality wise point blank.

On the point of liberalism and gender theory: I think there is a slight difference between older liberal ideas of gender, which acknowledge some biologically determined differences between men and women but deny the need for different societal expectations and roles beyond that, and the more contemporary social constructionist philosophies like queer theory, which assume that everything about gender is performative and seek to overthrow everything about society that "represses" "non-traditional" expressions of sexuality and gender. I feel like the latter is the natural evolution of the former, but the reason I bring this up is that, despite their rhetorical appeals to freedom from oppressive moral structures, the more modern progressive promote an ideology that is rigidly moralistic in its own way. That's why they seek to introduce new rituals like sharing your "preferred pronouns" and new language like "cis" into our culture, and direct so much vitriol at people who decline to partake in all of that despite ostensibly being against "shaming" people for what they do and don't want to do. They don't really want to let "you do you"; they want to impose a new ideology that is just as strict about its rules as "traditional" gender norms, but in a polar opposite way.

I basically feel like she always judged me for my outer femininity, and my choice of feminine clothes (I’ve always been very girly and likes to dress up etc), she always doubted me, and still does; like f example I’ve had my driver’s license for yeaaars and I drive a car daily, but if my dad’s car needs to be moved and no one’s there to move it, she’s rather wait for my sister or brother to come and move it then to let me.. she also always trash talked men a lot, always telling me how bad they are.. which I never appreciated.. anyway I didn’t let her get to me that much, or so I thought, for years ( I would just fight back and kind of brush it off). I went abroad to study, and the years being distant from her were so refreshing and calmed down a lot of the anger I had inside of me, BUT when I came back, being closer to her again, I suddenly just fell into this passive state, and I was basically running on masculine energy ( I was also very defensive and a bit aggressive, prior to leaving to study abroad), I noticed this a lot in the way I treated my husband as well. Im still recovering, healing back into my femininity… and I actually hate the masculine energy in me.. your videos help me a lot❤️ I hope I will manage to fully heal and fully be in tune with my femininity soon, because I can feel that my soul is not at peace until I do❤️‍🩹

What about women (who are feminine and not "embracing masculinity) who are naturally good leaders? I have seen them myself. They are not trying hard for it. It is just who they are: leaders. I took your advice, and after rewatching it, I'm happy did, as you clarified many points which I actually agree with. Many of these people who do these crystal energy/balanced energy stuff usually don't have reliable sources to learn from, so they end up developing flawed and misguided interpretations. I love this channel but I have to disagree. Spiritually we have both energy within us being that masculine and feminine energies represent the two halves of our brain. Saying that we are only feminine assumes that we only use one side of our brains. All humans also have both sex hormones in our bodies. The key is balance, not one sidedness. Masculine energy is needed in certain situations. Saying that we are only feminine is saying that we are incapable of certain masculine traits such as logic, when in reality the smartest among us use logic and emotion (masculine and feminine traits) together. The way you research these topics and present them so elegantly shows that you use both of your energies effortlessly. In fact, women have more neural connections between the two hemispheres of our brains, meaning that we can present a more androgynous energy of balance

When you are hearing someone say, "we all have a masculine and feminine side." What they mean is, "we would ALL do well, to do our best to empathize with the opposite sex." Are men not able to be nurturing, gentle, or vulnerable at times, whilst assertive, aggressive and close-minded at others? Can women not display these characteristics and their opposites from time to time? I wonder if we are being asked to "balance" our tendency towards extremism. So we don't loose sight of the other side of things. Without it, we're liable to fall into a very narrow-minded and subjective pattern of being, seeing, and thinking. Now, wouldn't that be a shame?

Masculine and feminine are not synonymous with male and female. I get what you're saying, but we do have masculine and feminine energy which is related to hormones. We can live in such ways that perpetuate certain hormones being more or less prevalent over time. There is a certain amount of masculine and feminine energy that is appropriate for each person, it does not mean 50/50.

It is different when one is manly or “womanly” and masculine or feminine. Spiritually, our souls are indeed balanced, but as people, women are naturally more feminine and men are naturally more masculine. When those energies are flipped, it can cause actual health problems and mental problems. Besides, some qualities are feminine (nurturing) and other are masculine (protecting), and yet, women can be protective and men can be caring. I think we should encourage societies to be more open minded and don’t bash people for their qualities, because they are only mirroring the conditions the people have. We as women don’t have a masculine (Well, we kind of do, but it’s our husbands lol) but we do have both a yin and a yang, Yang being direct and active, Yin being receptive and restful. This is shown in the Proverbs 31 woman, who can care for her family and surrender to her husband while also running a household and contributing to the family business.

I was mind blown and reluctant to believe it, especially when it's easier to judge her for her former life. Anyway, thought this was a fun fact. Also on that note, The Domostroy has a section on the matriarch knowing how to bake sourdough, garden and predict yields, handle finances, inspect the servants' work so they won't cheat by taking the best textiles, teach them how to cook, and never being idle, other than when falling ill, for that sets a good example. I’ve been curious/converting to Orthodoxy since October and at first there was a lot of New Age words and phrases I had to unfamiliarize myself with. It wasn’t hard. 9:11 I think many people who don’t know God have trouble knowing what it means and looks like to embody the fullness of their genders naturally in this modern world (12:06) You’ve mentioned before how submission in women is not weak though it is viewed as such. I remember growing up I felt like something was wrong with me because I wasn’t as feminine & delicate like my mom, people would always tell me that a woman should act a certain way & dress a certain way. That was until I reached a certain age where I realized that it’s 100% okay to embrace both, I wouldn’t consider myself masculine, by any means but I definitely embrace both qualities now when I feel necessary. I'm a bit confused about the latter part of your comment. I can make out that you don't have a yin yang complex, but I'm still trying to figure out what you mean by embracing both. For example, in my life, I am the eldest of 4 girls and never felt completely drawn to wearing makeup, using nail polish, and wearing high heels. I much preferred the comfort of a natural look, but was lazy about it too: wearing sweats, not always brushing my hair, letting my leg hair grow. That was me then. As a young lady, I started to be more feminine and hygienic. I'm still a Plain Jane, even married with two children under 5 yo, but I make the effort to look presentable (remove unwanted hair, wearing flowy skirts/dresses, putting tallow balm on my wrinkles, etc.). I hope this gives the right context to unpacking my question.

So growing up I was told that a woman should dress more feminine, a woman shouldn’t be so aggressive, it’s unlady-like to curse, to burp & slouch or sit with my legs apart but when I say that I’ve found peace in embracing both qualities I mean that I enjoy embracing qualities that society might consider to be “feminine” or “masculine”, depending on the mood that I’m in & I won’t fall into the mentality that I’m not behaving the way a woman “should” behave because it’s okay to feel comfortable doing either. I categorized some things from what I was told was “lady-like” & “unlady-like” growing up. But this is what’s helped me feel a little more at peace & confident with myself, I know there’s much more to it but this is what came to my mind at the moment. I hope this helps explain things a little better. Feminine qualities: Light intensity exercises such as yoga Surrendering to control Skincare/makeup routine Wearing feminine clothing Crossing my legs while sitting & sitting up straight Being more gentle with my approach/demeanor Being more nurturing or motherly Being submissive Masculine qualities: High intensity exercises such as weight lifting or martial arts Taking control Dressing more comfortably (sweats, t-shirt, sneakers) Being more loose with my posture Being assertive Brutal honesty Being disciplined Being more dominant

I wonder if anyone has any advice about remaining feminine when constantly surrounded by men. I am a young woman (university student) who is studying chemistry. I am around men all the time, and the majority of my closest friends are men. I’ve noticed that, as I’ve worked on healing and expressing my femininity more, I’ve strangely drawn more and more men as friends. I love my friends dearly, and I love spending time with them. Especially given the competitiveness of their studies, I think they really appreciate having a female friend. I always true to be nurturing and calming, and never to compete. They get enough (good natured) name-calling and competition from the other guys. I’m happy being a feminine presence in their lives, and they in turn support me. Great guys. That being said… they are all teenage boys (18-20 years old). While each of them might be gentlemanly when we are alone, I’m oftentimes alone in rooms of men. Often, it devolves into constant innuendo and crass or sexual jokes. The jokes never make me uncomfortable per se, but they are not the type of thing that I would say myself. How should I handle these situations? How do I retain my femininity and not become crass myself when I spend most of my time in these situations? There can be a pressure to return the dirty jokes, and while they often do try to tone themselves down, or don’t say certain things when I’m present, they are teenage boys. To ask them to not make constant dirty jokes would require reprogramming of their brains. How can I be a supportive and fun friend in these situations? I’m afraid of seeming uptight and unpleasant if I object or seem displeased. The last thing I want to do is mother these hardworking guys who just need to relax a bit. I understand it’s the way of groups of men to be kind of inappropriate sometimes. But I sometimes feel afterward like I’ve sullied the kind of woman that I want to be by engaging with them. I’ll look back and realize that yes, I did trade dirty jokes with them, and that is not the kind of thing that I want to do as a woman and follower of Christ. I’m wondering if any other women have advice?

I always hated being a Woman when I was in Teenage, used to call myself Tomboy. Living in a Conservative Country , in a conservative household , we suddenly become a "Woman" when we hit puberty no matter how young you are. Suddenly you have to carry this responsibility of hiding and concealing yourself coz now you're a WOMAN. No one allows us to be as Sporty and Loud as Boys, as free as Boys. (I was super insecure with my body coz my mother would tell me my bum would look like my Grandmother's) So many of us end up rejecting Femininity, since it's better to reject it than follow the Strict, Policised aspects of femininity that is allowed. We try to explore the "Masculine" side by wearing Androgynous clothes coz our Curves will be hidden, have a short hair cut so no men will sexualise, wear sneakers so our walk won't be "girly" . We all are just.... Broken. And that is when Feminism comes. Although, I don't agree with Feminism as a whole but I do understand that it's universal and every woman from any culture can find their strength through this if they don't have any other platform.

The idea of submission has been greatly distorted. Whether we like it or not we're always submitted to something. You submit to a boss at work, and if you're your own boss then you're submitted to the whims of your customers if you want to make money. You submit to the government by paying taxes, following laws. You submit to a teacher at school. Submission is not a bad thing, it's about what you're allowing yourself to submit to. We can all probably agree that a person who doesn't ever submit to laws or moral code is not someone we want to be around. They're unbearable and usually have a problem with authority, which is not conducive to a harmonious society. You can submit and still be assertive, resilient, and bold it's not one vs the other. In fact, God calls us to be bold and courageous AND to submit. He doesn't want us to be people pleasing pushovers.

Hello. This is the first time I watched one of your videos and I wanted to share my thoughts on the hermetic/alchemical principle of uniting the masculine and feminine…as someone who subscribes to the hermetic philosophy. I agree with you that human beings are not designed to be “androgynous”in any external sense. The metaphor of inner union is often interpreted to mean that gender roles and a gendered expression is an inferior way of being but I think this is a misunderstanding of the principle. I also very much agree with you that masculine and feminine roles often require some character traits often attributed to the opposite gender. The union of the inner masculine and feminine is better understood as a union of the conscious and subconscious aspects of mind. This requires that a person strive for balance between their receptive or perceiving functions and their acting or judging functions. In other words, a person should “hear” what their subconscious mind is trying to express before they can discern the truth and take correct action. If they fail to do this then the subconscious will rule over them through projections, fears, desires, etc. In the metaphysical sense, union of masculine and feminine is the effect of pineal and pituitary gland “activation”. The pineal is a masculine center likened to the sun aka “the divine “ and the pituitary is a feminine center linked to “the human”. When the pineal is activated it will emit hormones that will cause a person to feel that they are immersed in an inner light…this light is received by the pituitary causing a hormonal response resulting in a sensation of intense affection and warmth. A cascade of hormonal and energetic effects in the body eventually create a type of union between observation and action that is metaphorically androgynous or a reconciling of paradoxes. The perfectly centered awakened human being is not androgynous in action or appearance, but rather is the “holiest” expression of their sex/gender. In other words..,union of masculine and feminine isn’t the “what “ but the “how” of perfected and sanctified humanity.

From my perspective, my opinion, (you have to say that first, or people get offended), this right here, is one of the main reasons why women nowadays are having such a hard time in relationships. Everything is so open and free and promiscuity is now seen as "self-expression" but then wonder why men won't stick around after the fact. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on the woman, it is in a woman's nature to form some emotional attachment to a man after physical intimacy, it is in a man's nature to NOT form an attachment, men form attachments to women through being respected and needed in a provisional way. Perhaps better terminology to use for the outer behavior that we exhibit are “soft/softness” and “hard/hardness”. So instead of saying “a man incorporates the feminine trait of compassion in order to become a better leader,” we could say “a man incorporates the soft/gentle trait of compassion in order to become a better leader”. Likewise, “a woman incorporates the hard/hardy/tough trait of discernment in order to avoid putting herself in compromising situations,” instead of “a woman incorporates the masculine trait of discernment in order to avoid putting herself in compromising situations.” This emphasizes how behavior is related to one’s personality and expression, and is _not_ related to one’s nature and biology. (Btw this is not a criticism against how you worded things in the video, what you said was just fine since it matches the context of the topic. This is just my suggestion for anyone who sees my comment going forward.)

@@emmadasilva1794 Sorry for the late response, KZbin sucks at sending notifications in a timely manner sometimes. In this case, with this video in mind, sure you have a point. But in general, depending on the context of the conversation one is having, the term “hardness” wouldn’t always equal “masculinity”. It really depends on what definition/perception is being used for both words. For example, if the conversation you’re having is adhering to strict biological reality (like a scientific discussion), then saying “man incorporates this feminine trait” or “woman incorporates this masculine trait” wouldn’t be very accurate and may possibly be confusing, because you biologically can’t be both man and woman at the same time. Maybe “man incorporates a trait that is usually associated with women” would be better, or maybe “man incorporates this soft trait” would be better. It depends honestly. Also I just don’t think it’s a good idea to attribute all hard/harsh traits as the same as masculinity and all soft traits as the same as femininity. Yes as a general rule men tend to express hard/harsh behaviors more than women, and women tend to express soft behaviors more than men. But personality varies from person to person, some men are softer than other men, and some women are harder/harsher than other women. Does that make the softer man be less of a biological male? Or the harsher woman less of a biological female?

@@DGolden247 Oh I totally agree with you on that. I think some people, like the woman in the video, commit the fallacy of saying an "is" equals an "ought." Just because on the aggregate level we can observe patterns in personality traits between men and women (an "is" statement), does not mean then that men or women ought to act according to those aggregate behavioral observations. I believe that whether you act more feminine or masculine on the whole does not say anything significant about your sex. Sex is a hard biologically DETERMINED fact, while certain behaviors can only be PREDICTED by your sex.

Naturally as a child, with no indoctrination, I was a feminine tomboy. I preferred plying with boys than girls because of how catty they were & less fun. I am also Christian. I think women are both masculine & feminine . Some of us are survivors who had to claw ourselves out of tough situations. That doesn’t make me any less feminine than the next. I love my mental aptitude and strength which was birthed from depending on myself as no one else was any help. I also love my independence of man and reliance on God. There’s nothing wrong w that imo. I’ve been soft and got taken advantage of. Everyone has their own story.
