I really don’t know about that. With the resounding success of Sound of Freedom I’m sure there are some theaters that would be willing to make a stand. I hope I’m wrong, but it seems DW’s primary goal is to get subscribers, not primarily to contribute to culture. It’s not necessarily bad, but annoying because I don’t want to subscribe to a whole other platform for just one movie. Even if the theater thing is true, why not have a one time streaming “rental” for a more affordable price?

I showed this trailer to me teenagers last night, and told them this is what conedy looked like when I was their age. They LOVED this trailer! The kids really haven't seen anything quite like it. Also, if Stacy Abrams (who never conceded her loss to Governor Kemp, GA) can be President of Earth in Star Trek, then Ted Cruz can be an spectator at a basketball game in Ladyballers.

For the record, in an interview with Jeremy .. he said that he had had lunch with Ted and Ted expressed to him that he wanted to try acting .. so he put him in there .... and also there are all of these conservative people because they couldn't even get trained actors who were already cancelled to agree to do this ... everyone is afraid of their reputation .... Here’s where I think it makes it acceptable… Ted looks like he’s just a random civilian. His role doesn’t seem to be something that elevates him to a higher status. Whereas apparently Stacey Abrams played the President of Earth, which is something else. I don’t know her official position in government, but if she was like, a commander of a fleet or ship or something (or less) than I’d see that as fine. It would be an equivalent or lesser level. When you go higher than it makes it harder to suspend your disbelief because it feels less like a cameo and more like a more blatant endorsement.

I somewhat disagree that this is only playing to their audience. Obviously it is to a point and will be exclusive to their members for a time. But when it gets released to the public I think it's more for those that aren't necessarily aligned with Daily Wire but agree on the trans agenda and definitely trans in sports but are are hesitant to voice their views by highlighting the absurdity to such a degree.

I loved it. Haven't watched a proper comedy like this in a long time. I did laugh out loud and I think the absurdity is perfectly on point. I'd love it more though if these things weren't actually happening and went to extremes in reality. The acting is surprisingly solid. There is no breaking character. Jeremy acted great as a lead, and the rest of the cast did very good job. Definitely worth a watch.
