Gaga has been on the Howard Stern show several times, with just her playing the piano and singing acoustic versions of her hits. Each time, I get goosebumps from her voice. What a set of pipes!

I had never heard any of Lady GaGa songs but I respected her. When I heard this song with her and Bradley Cooper, I was blown away by her musicianship. In the Shallows is the most beautiful song I’ve heard in years. Certainly one of the top 10 beautiful songs in my life, and I’m 63.

A couple things-1-this song won the Oscar for Best Original Song 2-Cooper also directed this movie. His directorial debut. 3-Cooper told Gaga his vocals would be by another artist, and he’d lip sync. She said, “Absolutely not. You’re going to learn to sing, and we’re singing LIVE.” 4-Gaga did help him learn to sing. He also had a voice teacher. 5-Gaga did not teach him guitar. Guitar he learned from musician Lukas Nelson (son of Willie Nelson). Nelson is also a friend of Gaga. 6-Cooper spent months on his music education-to where he doesn’t just “play some chords”. He’s actually a pretty good guitarist now. 7-Gaga was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for this movie-Cooper for Best Actor, and Sam Elliott (plays Cooper’s brother in this) for Best Supporting Actor. 8-Gaga is in two upcoming movies: “ The House of Gucci” 11/24/21; and “Bullet Train” 4/8/22!

Gaga will not appear in "Bullet Train". She turned down the offer because her days coincided with "HoG". Sandra Bullock replaces Gaga on "Bullet Train".

Tony Bennett has been diagnosed with Alsheimers disease....they did concert tours this year...she was afraid he would not remember who she was but he remembered her....which I found is awesome

I love how ur reaction is very constructive and well thought out with insights on the artist. Actually, you've forgot to mention that Gaga has won an oscar thnks to this song(shallow) and have sung it live with Bradley cooper at the oscars and impressed the audience and the viewers with an immaculate performance as to be reffered by the media as the best performance in the history of the oscars. And you're right, Gaga is the most versatile artist of all time , her talent is limiteless , and she's one of the best singers of this generation ( not to discredit other great singers too like Beyonce , Ariana Grande, Adele ..),

Edit: commented this before you guys said you watched it lmao You guys should react to the movie scene! This is a studio recording but the entire movie is sung live so you hear their live vocals which are STUNNING. She actually said she wouldn’t do the movie if the movie wasn’t sung live, so she helped Bradley learn to sing and Bradley helped improve her acting.

He’s been working on this movie before he met GaGa.. at least they won for original song w this song and GaGa got her Oscar. They should’ve also won best movie that year and they didn’t .. it was the biggest movie that year ! Don’t know how they didn’t win !

Actually, Bradley worked more with Lucas Nelson (Willie Nelson’s son) on singing and playing guitar .. Lucas was in the movie as his back up and lead guitarist in his band .

Not a huge Lady Gaga fan, first few albums had some catchy songs. Not a Bradley Cooper fan at all. This was a good movie, but not in comparison to Streisand/Krist remake of the original. There were several good songs off this soundtrack as well. She’s much prettier without makeup-I think with it she looks terrible.
