And Bruno and Anderson are "poppin" all the way to the bank. lol Leave The Door Open was #1 on Billboard twice in a month, has 345M views on YT, Skate is 6 days old and has 22M views on YT. Bruno just did a sold out Residency Vegas show at the MGM, he's still not done, where the tickets range from $800 to $6,000. LOL so yeah he can POP all he wants. Although 99% of us call it R&B. 😁 AND Anderson will be on AXS TV on Aug 11th playing LIVE from France. He ain't hurting either. lol As for this song, glad you are positive cuz this is my era; the 70s. Roller skating is coming back cuz of this song. Guaranteed. Another banger #1 Billboard hit coming at ya. And awards next year up the wazoo! Anderson has a singing video that I like "Make It' Better". but he has so many more, Bruno? It would take you weeks to dive into his catalog. 😁

Bruno is playing CONGAS, not ‘bongos’ which are much smaller drums held between the legs to play, or on a stand of multiple percussion. If you check the album, in addition bro piano & guitar, Bruno is credited with much percussion playing. He’s probably the one who played tambourine & glockenspiel (bells) on the tracks as well. Video was shot in L.A. You could check APaak’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert, & other live shows with his group, Free Nationals. He’s really a more raw & organic artist than the Silk Sonic project X suggests, but this is a great boost for his singing chops, noteworthy, & $$$$. I believe he may also have a track contributed to the Black Panther soundtrack as well. Fun reaction by you guys.

Skating is trending again. Why live heavy, is that they plan to tour this album. Bruno's Dad was a Congo player and Bruno started out on drums. His brother Eric is the drummer in his band. Anderson on Tiny Desk Concert. They also have a track on Anderson's latest Album and Anderson and his band The Free Nationals opened for Bruno's 24K Magic tour. So this collaboration started back in 2017. Check the credits for both songs, production, direction and video concept, composition/writing credits. Bringing back the 70's in the best way possible. This will chart on commercial, R&B and get industry cred. Bruno's is also a savvy business man and surrounds himself with the best people.

Ok guys the information is, This upcoming album from silk sonic is being narrated by bootsy collins who gave them their band name. There's a copy of the introduction on spodify with bootsy's voice. Also, Anderson paaks band is called "the free nationals". You should check out his tiny desk concert. He has a son who is also very musically talented..watch his video called "jewlz" The beginning of this song reminds me of how "Charlie's Angel's" music was...

Have to say a bit strange comparison, perfume to barbeque with the lady close enough to smell the perfume or half burned meat hissing and sun warmed beer ? ;) A pastiché or homage to 70's soul, disco dance music. MFSB, Three Degrees, Barry White, Saturday Night Fever, all those. I wonder If they used real violins there.

That ain't a bongo babe, they are Conga's...lol. Bongo's are short and small. Conga's are tall. You know the song is good when seeing three young white boys all smile and head boppin' :) This video was filmed in Los Angeles. Way to bring a smile to my face..."Oh My, Oh My"... Props to Silk Sonic for having REAL WOMEN in this video instead of video vixens or models with fake booties, boobs, faces, etc. Anderson Paak is amazing -- drumming and singing at the same time is difficult. Bruno is really showcasing Anderson with the Silk Sonic songs which are awesome and something artists of his stature don't readily do. Anderson's talent is freaking awesome but he has not had the exposure Bruno has. Silk Sonic is changing that! Love this video, all the 70's vibe again like their prior video; the bicycle, VW Bug, Bus, and ranch truck, the girls' rollerskates, their outfits, the congas, instruments, even the fan in the background - all legit 1970s. Bruno Mars is at his best with the 70's vibe and is extremely detail-oriented when staging his videos and camera work. Did you notice how the camera blurs out Bruno to give Anderson the focus? This song reminds me of the boys in high school in the '70s going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco every day after school and jamming!
