It is about feelings and relationships on Plastic Doll, but she’s using the metaphor of being a plastic doll to tell that story. She’s saying that she’s been treated like an object before and she’s saying to this guy “if you’re a real boy, don’t play with me” how other men have played with her. So yeah she’s not just singing about dolls, it’s just the concept she’s using to get that point across.

Boys: you need to listen to the entire album without skips. It tells a story. Also, "Plastic Doll" is about how the world/music industry thinks she's a Plastic Doll for them to play with, Gaga's saying them not to do that cause she's a person with emotions, not a toy for entertainment purposes only. On Spotify, under each song there's a story about it. Please read. And please read the lyrics. I think ur misunderstanding A LOT.

I´m so happy about this album, it´s a masterpiece as Born This Way was! Artpop and Joanne were different approaches from what she brought in her previous albums, but for me Chromatica is a beautiful homage to all the beats and deep lyrics Gaga is known for. I can´t really discredit any of the songs because all of them have an unique vibe and tells a different story. Overall, in my opinion, Babylon, 911, and Free Woman are the best songs in Chromatica, they merge all the dancing and feeling sensations we all needed. Do not drag me, but I have been a Little Monster since the beginning. Jamming to "Just Dance" in 5th grade being a little gay Mexican kid. But, I didn't really feel this album. I feel like an entire dance album isn't a good thing for her. Even 'ARTPOP' being mainly dance tracks had those slow moments to give it variety. I just feel like this won't be a memorable album. There should be a good balance in pop albums- electronic dance, pop, and maybe a ballad. I never took Plastic Doll the way you took it. I feel like if people DO take it that way, they’re just looking for something to find a problem with. I don’t think they’re problematic lyrics. The song is about her struggles with relationships and how sometimes she feels used and “played with.” Not that if you’re a boy, you can’t play with dolls.
