On 7 July 2013, I lost my cousin. I was 16. She was 42. She was my everything. We were more like sisters. Hell, our birthdays were only four days apart. The first time I heard the song, even knowing this album's depth, my dumb ass decided driving was okay. I NEVER get emotional with music... I had to pull over to prevent wrecking, I was crying so much. As stupid as it may sound, I was in denial until I listened to this song. It was just too sudden to be true. And it didn't help the night before, I'd had a dream about her, telling me everything would be fine. Not to worry. After I was notified, I felt like it was my fault... this song brought closure. The best thing... She was a little monster, too. 😌 I miss her so damn much, but I know she's listening... I know she's here.

This is so relatable for me and my life... I never felt this connected to an artist in my life! It has helped me out with my emotions.. to try and let it out more and be Okay with it. Instead of Just keeping it all in till it bottles up.. I think it’s a Beautiful thing to See that she show’s her emotional side through her music, and in her documentary ... it’s Something I look up to . ❤️

It made my heart sink a bit to hear her say "you know, manly crying". Having to justify such normal emotion as if it would cast doubt upon them as men.

some men hate to admit that they cry and think they have to be incredibly masculine, her saying 'manly tears' was a joke on it, not sexism
