I got the chance to meet her a few years ago when she was in concert in Manchester UK. I worked at the airport and my company was doing the ground handling for her aircraft. I had to pick her up at the back security gate and drive her to her aircraft. When I met her at security, I introduced myself to her and called her "Ms Gaga". She laughed and said "you can simply call me Stefani. Lady Gaga is a character.. a stage persona. Right now, I am just Stefani." The woman is TOTALLY grounded.

She was also nominated for the best actress. The Oscar went to Olivia Coleman, but Gaga doesn't feel like she lost. She's sooo proud and happy for the best song award. I think I have never seen any songwriter to be so extremely proud of getting an Oscar. We all know Oscars are not for songs, and every songwriter dreams of getting a Grammy. This girl with 12 Grammies already (if I count them right) is so grateful like she's accoladed for the 1st time in her life. Does she ever realize she's a living legend?

@Changelingheart4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely right. I thought she wasn't as "original" as the hoopla craze described. Until I started catching her videos on MTV or UH1(?). And really paid attention to her. Her lyrics, costumes, her sets, always a "different" story laid out before us(me). I grew to like, to appreciate Lady Gaga. It's in her name. She is a grown woman, yet has a baby with in. At least that's my take. I never did look up any info on her stage name. And no doubt I am incorrect. But she has shown vulnerabilities, and even times of personal breakdowns. She rallies strength...of her own or w/ help from a friend or two. The Lady has grown. Her tastes have morphed and she remarkably got the roll in A Star is Born. It literally proclaims what had been said all along ....was she good enough? Talented enough? Edgy enough? Pretty enough?? Does it matter? Did it ever matter??? It's Ms. Lady Gaga, a star who was born the day she was born. 💜🎶💜

Slaying every genre, piano acoustics and running circles in live performances w ease and grace. I think it's like media nerfed her talents so hard that people barely get to notice her vocal runs. But as for people like us who allowed ourselves to really understand her advocacy, message and impact thru her music and not the superficiality of her clothes. I became an instant fan from that on. She’s very talented and likeable but her father bank rolled her at the very beginning and pulled many strings. Let’s not sugar coat this. Again, she is awesome but without him all the hard work and talent in the world wouldn’t have made much of a difference I’m sad to say. Not in the music business anyway.

Lady Gaga is so talented and beautiful. I am so happy for her. She deserved that Oscar for her performance.

In terms of stand out moments, let's not forget Lady Gaga at the Oscars with the medley tribute to Julie Andrews which was a major OMG moment. She absolutely smashed that performance.

Yeah, they couldn't have picked a better singer to cover those songs, she's so classically talented. You could tell Julie Andrews was moved by it as well.

I'd be honored if some fans of Lady Gaga's historic talent would check out my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my YT channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest vocalist-songwriters in music history. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and CONGRATULATIONS to Gaga and Bradley for their well-deserved Oscar!

I think it is a peak on her career. It was the beginning of this new Gaga. I cant wait for the next transformation. Its been only 10 years or so and look at her. Its not only a transformation in terms of fashion or musical sound but its like if she was someone totally different. It is quite interesting in terms of pop culture actually.

Lady Gaga is such a beautiful, delightful person. I know I'm late, but I just got the chance to watch "A Star is Born". It. Was. Amazing! No words

Actually love lady gaga's transition into this over the years. Her old music was GREAT, but she did alot of things that weren't authentic to herself. I feel like this is a closer representation of the REAL gaga

I think she talked about that on an Actor's Roundtable, how she always wanted to be an actress first and so she created the Gaga persona(s) as an outlet for that.
