Back in 2009 this was the first time I've ever listened to her performing live. Couldn't believe she was singing for real, I was so used to pop artists lip synching that I had forgotten how live sounded like.

Actually - the reason she's singing this way is to pay homage to FNM who covered her song in a similar manner and are one of her favourite bands! She liked their version and wanted to return the respect!! and she effing KILLED IT! my favourite version for sure.

1:33-1:37, almost all you need to hear before you realize how versatile a singer she really is... I'm not generally a fan of pop/dance music, or even of Gaga herself, but she really does prove that people who say "if it's pop, it's talentless" can be very, very wrong sometimes. Have a lot of respect for her as an artist.
