what is really great about this song and music video is that it effectively established what the public would think about Lady Gaga for the next decade during the fame era.everything in this video became a symbol of Lady Gaga iconography from her geometric bangs, the two dogs, her bathing suit outfit, the use of technology with her glasses the hair hairbow, the weird mask, the lightning bolt on her cheek all became symbols of Lady Gaga and what the modern popstar looks like. This video single handedly changed our perception of what the popstar of the future would be like. The looks in this video are to this day still used as a reference for manufactured popstars. It's BRILLIANT! The essential surface level question here is is she manufactured and fake or a true artist? We(the public) can't read her poker face and tell the truth. FUN FACT: The blue and silver close up outfit is actually a dress made from a parachute.
