The mic was on, she was singing into the mic more than any other artist in the last 3 years, there was still back tracks behind her helping her in certain scenarios. If you pay attention, there are MANY lady gagas singing at once. Sorry to tell you but nobody sings without backtracks, Gaga is just the most talented out of all of them that she doesn't use them to sing the WHOLE SONG like the others do.

This feels even more amazing if you watched her documentary. She put so much effort into creating this performance, she was preparing for it ever since she was announced with months before the Super Bowl to happen and keep in mind that she also had to promote her latest album Joanne and while doing all of this she was struggling with her chronic pain. She's not just a singer/performer, she's a REAL artist that loves what she does.

Prince performed during a heavy rainstorm using live electric guitars on a slippery stage and sang an entire set with other artists' songs except when he ended with Purple Rain...
