If it wasn't for Clarence Clemons...like many Springsteen songs...they would never be. He was the soul of both their works. I like this tune...even if overly commercial with GaGa's over the top getup...needed this to help establish her and be talked about...respect her more in A Star Is Born. I have big respect for Lady Gaga for highlighting the saxophone player in this video. Just in case some of you don't know, the sax player is Clarence Anicholas Clemons Jr., also known as The Big Man. He was a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. This was the last collaboration he recorded and he suffered a major stroke days after filming this music video. He even played it live for the last time in Gaga's American Idol performance of this song despite being terminally ill, and he died two weeks after that particular performance.
