Caught me off guard again PF. Figured on a tragic ending. These movies are a great break from some of life's stresses. Interesting story though. Didn't find it dull at all. Characters likable and trigger sympathy, an important ingredient in any movie. Go easy on the Sauce Pizza Pal.

TravelDiva66 yep. give her enough change for betraying sister with guilt. LYING, LYING, LYING. turn it up a little more for wanting to delay a day after the execution. to tell what was really going on. but finch got the truth out of her. give more charge for being selfish.
@autumnt.allgood88955 жыл бұрын

Atwill, one of my favorites is Son of Frankenstein. He plays the local police chief who supposedly has a wooden arm, and at least 5 times in the movie he comes to visit Dr. Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) at his castle and snaps his arm in a very ostentatious way.. It's great.

Very good movie. Charles Finch... same name as the Author who writes the wonderful Charles Lenox Detective Series, spanning the time before Sherlock Holmes, between 1850- 1880. Thank you for sharing this great movie. Susie, the sister was either a complete imbecile in denial, and a plain cunning LIAR! I can't imagine anyone that stupid holding back obvious evidence that would free her Sister? Maybe she was festering resentment over not getting the $1,000 to help Richard? I'm overthinking again...

"Uh, Oh" I said out loud after watching the woman walk the 39 Steps, then Dr. Bradford talking about his research in bringing back the dead. I had to double check if I was watching a horror film. Her execution was set for 15 April. She won't have to worry about sending in her Income Taxes for that year, or any others.

A good plot, twisted in surprises and unexpected revelations, average fair acting, B/W action, who´s-who, when and how in 55 minutes, not bad at all. And in those days, if things got uneasy, "don´t worry, I´m leaving town". in exchange for some green Dollar bills And a good court action.
