Well punk was based on bondage fashion and unusual hairstyles. Plus it has a metal guitar solo. So yeah it is definitely not punk. However, if it inspires people to be creative great! Punk kicked out Blondie one of the biggest bands ever but they started their own movement New Wave. So hopefully this will spark something new because punk is really old hat anyway.
