When I first heard of Scott Pilgrim was when I read the first Volume in my Middle School Library and it looked interesting then I forgot about it till a few years later a friend of mine mentioned the movie, and I ignored it for more years, but last week I saw a clip of it and I thought it was funny so I decided to check it out, I had gone in thinking there was more than one movie but to my surprise it was only one and the Graphic novels as well as the games supoort the same story as the movie, it blew my mind how fucking awesome and insane it was to start an entire fandom based on this small amount of media versions for it, and now I found myself wanting more of this amazing series, I hope we get something more.

This song and this video speak to me in such a powerful way. Ramona looks almost exactly like my high school ex, and I broke up with another girl to start dating her. And we had all sorts of crazy adventures, but there was also so much fucked up stuff going on in our friend group. Now I'm 35 and wondering if I'll ever find love like that again. Plus, I have LOVED Metric since back then, and having grown up in Ontario means all the locations and just the feel of this movie makes me feel like I was there. It was actually Metric's album Synthetica (as well as ...Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age, which arrived at my apartment 2 weeks before the release date as a special thank you to those who pre-ordered it way in advance) that kept me alive during an even more insane breakup in my mid-20s. Metric's music has just been a part of my life for so long... seen them in concert 3 times now. One time I won tickets because they were doing a scavenger hunt around Toronto for free tickets, and they posted a clue and I immediately recognized it as the entrance to High Park which I lived near at the time. My brother and I got to meet them afterwards and it was just awesome. The tickets were in a really cool, custom-printed Metric envelope that I kept, there's probably only a handful of those ever made. Anyway... I just wanted to say thanks for making this video. I was a huge fan of this song (the Metric version) long before I discovered it was recorded for this movie.
