I could not be a judge during these tryouts. There are so many deserving young ladies. I wouldn't have the heart to send any of them home! ❤️

I really wish Fuka as an experienced ex-Idol could have helped judge -- Rie couldn't because she was busy setting up her new gig with Rei, and Emily was touring with PassCode -- instead of leaving it entirely to the suits, but oh well… Of course there are many deserving girls, but some just don't have the talent and/or attitude (Rie liked working with girls who were just as nuts as she is -- no _sane_ girl should ever be in Ladybaby… LB4 seem pretty not-sane)

@@Soufriere84 Right. There's always one certain element that one person is better at than the others. Vocals, dance, or even just a certain look. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to weed out the ones who wouldn't be a good fit, but you can tell, maybe it's just the Japanese culture, but they are all so very genuine and trying their very best. It would just kill me to send anyone home! Lol! I agree with you that all the current members should be able to choose. And perhaps even past members to be able to choose their replacement. Regardless, I wish nothing but happiness and success for the new Ladybaby!

Mia is exceptionally good at facial expression management and dancing. I understand why she was chosen even though she is not a good singer. However, I feel sorry for the two tentative applicants who were not selected even though they had been working hard for several months. Ria and Mochi are both wonderful. What kind of outstanding charm does Sakura, who was chosen over the other girls without being judged, have? (At least it's definitely not Scream.)

Sakura is a fine singer with a deeper tone than the others, plus she's working on the scream -- you can't expect her to become as good as Emily overnight (she's already better than Beard). I have faith Mia's singing will improve in time, and Emily herself will make sure Sakura improves.

@@Soufriere84 Sakura and Beard's vocalizations are very similar, but I think Beard is better because he has more muscle. In order for Sakura's scream to improve, she must fundamentally change the way she vocalizes, just like Emily. However, Emily is currently busy with PASSCODE's activities, and despite LADYBABY being disbanded against her will, she has no obligation to take care of Sakura for a long period of time.

@@ccc-e9t No, Emily has no obligation to train Sakura at all. I'm pretty sure she's doing it because she wants to. She could've easily refused but didn't. Also, PassCode doesn't have anything going on at the moment -- they finished the Reverberate Tour just before Christmas. It took Emily's predecessor Yuna two years to master screaming. It probably took Emily herself awhile too. Sakura gets the gist of it and will improve with practice

@@Soufriere84 First of all, if this group is a not famous underground idol group, few people would have a problem with Sakura's scream being immature. When Yuna Imada couldn't scream, PASSCODE was not famous. (However, I don't think Yuna Imada was good at Scream until the end...) However, if they were to carry on the LADYBABY name, I question the management's policy as to why they didn't hire someone who could scream from the beginning. There are many young women in Japan who are good at scream. Listen to songs like "Broken By The Scream," "Hanabie," and "Serenity In Murder." These are just a few, and there are many women who are good at screaming, even if they are amateurs. At least I don't think Sakura can become like them.

@@ccc-e9t That you so highly underrate Yuna tells me all I need to know about you. That plus you ignored my comment to try to music-splain me like I don't know who BBTS and Hanabie are. I gave my reasoning why they hired Sakura (also, she was in an earlier HEROINES group) despite her not knowing how to scream. Clearly we will never agree on anything important, so I'll take my leave. Good day.
