I wasn't sure what to make of this song/video at first since it's so different from typical Ladybaby, but the more I listened and watched, the more it seemed to represent a potentially major shift in the band's focus, toward something more serious and mature, musically and artistically. After listening to it on repeat for a couple hours, it seriously grew on me, and I now consider it a truly epic exemplar of Kawaii Metal music/video. Gave me new appreciation for what Ladybaby is and could become. It's surely a triumphant comeback from losing 2 out of 3 of the original trio.

Cool facts: Rie Kaneko actually directed the video, including the choreography. The composer, who goes by HAJIMETAL also did the main lyrics, but the screaming lyrics were contributed by the screamer, Emily. Costume designs were done by the rapping girl, Nana.

They have had this line up for a while now. However, Ladybeard did one video with this current line up in a song called "Biri Biri Money", kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZqpXnp_gbami5I "Starless Sky" was the first video without Ladybeard, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZCpYqtmmLCijKc They are performing live now with a backing band with this one called "Love Innocent Acid Kawaii", kzbin.info/www/bejne/bl7ZgoB_ba5gmtU They are getting better, however I think their studio performances are superior to the live. Sometimes the singing in their live performances is a little off key or they sound winded. Did you notice in the credits that Rie gets credit for direction and choreography?

They have so much potential if they can just break that mental connection to being a club band. So close to breaking out, just that little something still missing (like good choreography...). They try, you can tell,but damn, they need help in that department.

You're not wrong, but Ladybaby has always operated on basically zero budget. Their current choreographer is longtime leader Rie Kaneko. She's only 21 and fairly new to choreography, so I think she deserves to be given a bit of a break. Folks are spoiled by Babymetal, who have Mikiko-sensei (one of the best choreographers in Japan, maybe the world).
