Richard Magarey is an Australian stuntman, professional wrestler, singer and online streamer, known for his bearded crossdressing persona named Ladybeard. He is currently vocalist of the band Babybeard, formerly with the band Ladybaby and Deadlift Lolita.

I love LADYBEARD.. been following his escapades since Nippon Manju dropped.. and saw his new band BABYBEARD live last year - they were epic! They also did an excellent cover of BABYMETAL - Papaya! and he came into the audience and stroked my beard. Win win This First Take performance of Monochrome makes me cry. Every. Damn. Time. 😭

Nice one Joel - and by all accounts Ladybeard is a really nice guy. I think he did once say something to the effect that Ladybaby was an attempt to jump on the coat tails of BABYMETAL's success.

Monochrome is probably my favourite BM song. Though not being a big fan of the girls, I got a bunch of respect for them. Mainly because they were a "gatekeeper" into the Japanese music scene. Somehow KZbin Algorithm registered that I was curious about what they were about, and suddenly started to recommend favourites as Band-Maid and Lovebites. Since I was into reaction channels, and liked Nightwish too, it lead me to recommend them to "MrRnR" and such.

I'm fairly sure Ladybeard knows what's babymetal is all about. He has said that BABYMETAL was one of the groups that LADYBABY got it's inspiration from all those years ago. So showing him different side of babymetal was pretty good in my opinion.
