Your not wrong, the new gear is here and installed- just waiting on lady weather to calm down before doing a test run.

I really like the way you use the rail network to get to different rides, it certainly opens wide the choices and, although I've played around with the idea before, your films have convinced me to look in to it more seriously. Do you ever meet issues such as refusal to carry your bike? PS: "I think I bought another GoPro by accident yesterday" 😆.

Each rail company is different in how to book on a bike, LNER use a reservation only for the bikes (website is best or you can go to a station but that's dragging it out) I think Grand Central use a reservation also but many are just turn up and if there is a spot you can get on. Always best to look on rail website of where you are going and check before hand but certainly doable! as long as they are not on strike that day of travel. For me the best ones are Hull Trains (super bike friendly and cheap) and Northern Rail was good also for just jumping on if space is there. for southern railways - Gatwick Express and wager most down that south east are if there is space, but pick your times when less people are travelling. My London to Brighton video had me finish in Brighton and get the Gatwick Express back. The Train was huge and mostly empty so was easy going. Lands End side of the country is a bit of a roll the dice also due to the cyclist starting/finishing that side of the country and on the flip side ScotRail is excellent and bike friendly if space is free however Thurso is a pain to get to in any daylight due to the amount of trains to it. If not travelled much by train, keep it simple at first 1 rail company on 1 line (Newark - Newcastle for example) as once your in, you sit back and relax but over time you will end up doing multiply train connections with the bike but for me it save a lot of time and effort and keeps me fresh for the ride ahead or on the flip side a hour or more to chill out and warm up after a ride on the way back. Congrats with the GoPro! best one to go with I'd say.

@@englishcyclist Tom - that's a really helpful reply; much appreciated (boomer that I am, I've printed it out 🙂)! It sounds like 'do your research' and the 5P's are your friends on this one. The GoPro thing was in reference to your own comment in the film; it made me laugh (we've all done similar)!
