This looks like a popular walking spot, by the number of people passing by you on your walk and it being a weekday 🙂 So, seeing that car parked off the path, that must mean that, I am assuming "official only" vehicles to drive along this path you are walking on here? The wood in that little dam to catch the winter detritus looks awfully new. I assume they do a regular inspection/upkeep of all those to ensure they're in good condition. Yes. The path around the entire reservoir is wide enough for a water company vehicle to get around but is gated off for all other traffic as you saw at the beginning of the video. You’re also correct in the fact that thousands of those ‘leaky dams’ have been installed in the last few years all over the higher parts of the Peak District.
