Lucky enough to live here. Unlucky enough to see its decline, too many visitors who show lack of respect for the park. Countryside code seems to have been forgotten.

Hey! Where do you base yourself centrally? Or you lucky enough to have a camper?

We would love to have a camper, but we don't have one yet! We've visited the Peak District quite a few times over the past years, we stayed near Castleton once (the part of the Peak District with the most hills, lots of great hikes around this area). The area around Buxton is great for exploring the hidden gems in the south part (like Lud's Church, Monsal Trail, Thor's Cave etc.). Luckily the Peak District isn't too big so you can drive across it in around 1 hour
