During 2020 my husband was in the hospital for 23 days with severe water in the chest lung lining and blood infection. After a week of him not being home my two cats started bringing me a mice, chipmunks moles daily. Before his hospital stay it was very random, but while he was away they were actively hunting to feed me. I think they thought he abandoned us. Since he has been home since (except for work) they have gone back to random hunting. Cats are incredible!!

Whenever its summer and i harvest green beans i put them into a basket on the island in my kitchen. Everyday when i would go to put on my workshoes i have to first check them for green beans. I eventually caught momma kitty red handed transporting a green bean to my shoe. She packs them in towards the toe so sometimes i think they are empty and i get green beaned Ive had guests find out they got green beaned when they put their shoes on to leave. It is hilarious.

Oh, about the slow and less nimble part, I can tell you they definitely get surprised when they see what we are capable of! While I was at my girlfriend's place, there is a bar where they hang the carpets and I do pull ups on it. So I clapped out a few fast pull ups while one of her cats was roaming around with me and, man, his jaw DROPPED when he saw that. He was all like "How the hell?! Those hairless monkeys can move like that?" it was very cute XD

The housecats I live with share a special connection with me. I do feel like they think of me as a relative. Any time I get sick or feel really down, the oldest will find me and snuggle up for the day. Rarely leaving me for other things like the litter box or food. I keep a water dish in my room for my dog to have a safe space to drink and also for nighttime when she stays with me. And that’s one of the few things that the eldest cat will leave to do if he’s keeping me company. The fact that he can sense and figure out when I’m in rough shape either with physical or mental health and keeps me company, going so far as to swap positions to wherever I’m cold to keep me warm, is amazing how he knows how to keep me feeling safe. (Don’t get me wrong, My dog also shows the same affection, but just in different ways.). The youngest still thinks of himself as a kitten, but he also likes sleeping in my living space. Maybe it’s quieter for him, or perhaps he just likes the scents. But he’s not as much of a cuddled with people yet. He’s still young though, only two years old.

I kind of agree with this one. I personally thinks it's more accurate that cats treat us like other cats because they actively have no idea how else to treat us. It's the same reason why we rationalize animal behavior using human thought patterns, and humanize animal expressions, like why a panting dog always looks happy for instance, when he could be miserable. We treat our animals like humans many times, and in some cases better than we would treat humans too. It's not that we don't see them as animals or one of our own. Not saying this in a bad way but I think it's a pity response mainly, lot of instances where we think they wouldn't be able to take care of themselves so we would want to do it instead, because we think we can. (And again, there isn't anything wrong with that on its own)

That one cat has some HUGE EYES! I used to not care too much for cats but lately they’ve been growing on me. My friend had a cat named Mr. Kitty who we think was part Pixie Bobcat. Mr. Kitty was a cool cat and very entertaining. Almost more like a dog and I’ve always liked dogs. My mom has a really cool cat too who goes nuts for catnip and likes to sleep in a box which is a little too small for her. She has the loudest purr I’ve ever heard. I’m almost thinking that I’d like to have a cat *_(something I never would have considered a year ago)_* but my roommate has two terriers and I’m not sure how they would handle sharing us with a member of a different species. If I got the opportunity to have a Pixie Bobcat though I’d probably go for it and the dogs would just have to accept it.

in my opinion, cattos think of us as their mama. even when they are old. they respect us, they know when we are angry and they know what is against the rule

I started feeding some strays they invited their friends and family to dinner i live in Wisconsin so when it started getting cold they come in so now I got 6 cats mostly outdoor cats except dinner and bedtime

my cat see me exactly like that except the slower thing cuz i once OUTRUNNED my cat who runs very fast
