GE Lady Hawk! Your description here is so well done, thanks for the info on the flying fish🦅🐟. This flying fish is another super cool delicacy species we get to see our Apex Eagles dine on at Catalina along with the rockfish, Garibaldi and Moray eel! Maybe we'll get even more lucky and see a sea lion placenta appear again😂, JK! Dad Chase and Mom Cholyn have been spoiling there little Eaglet ever since they got him/her back. It's very sweet to see and shows just how much they love their little one. One more huge thank you to Dr. Sharpe🙏 for making this day and each day thereafter possible for this chick who would've certainly perished without the life saving intervention we saw Tuesday. SEDs LH💜🌙🌚

Hi Tom and you are welcome!! Thanks for the heads up on the flying fish! I was so busy with the gosling nest I am glad I was able to catch this incredible delivery!! We do see a lot of unusual items brought in here don't we? And at Sauces and West End too! I know Chase and Cholyn are spoiling their baby and not letting it slip away again!!! Dr Sharpe deserves a medal for his two amazing eaglet rescues!!!

@@ladyhawk - You're welcome! I'm so glad you were able to capture it too! You know I love all the cool deliveries and unique prey they bring in at the Islands. It never gets old watching here for sure! Chase and Cholyn are continuing to spoil there little one, so cute and he/she deserves it! SEDs my dear friend💜🌚🌙

Such a bright blue color. I'm not sure how big the flying fish get, but we went Marlin fishing before in the Pacific Ocean and caught a Sailfish, with the long sword nose and the sailfin on the back. It was bright blue when hauled out of the water too. It was maybe 7 feet long, maybe more with the nose part, we didn't get it mounted or anything
@ladyhawk2 жыл бұрын
Yes the color is striking on the this flying fish! A friend of mine caught a Marlin and the color is amazing!!

@@ladyhawk I was pretty shocked by how brutal they were with the fish dragging it on board, and sad the color got dull as it was out of the water and losing life. 😥

Dr Sharpe needs to take up nest building. Looks like he did a good job of reinforcing the nest so hopefully the eaglet won't fall out again. It doesn't look like it suffered any ill affects from it's misadventure.
