I want you to know something Lady Mary Beth…I am 56 yrs old and I wish that I would have taken time to learn and appreciate all these beautiful things when I was young. I didn’t even realize how amazing tableware could be. (The closest thing I ever knew about was a few pieces of Lusterware my Mom had). I am slowly collecting kinds and colors of different pieces that I see while out thrifting that I love and can afford and I actually squealed out loud when I found a Waterford crystal candle holder at Goodwill😀. I have 2 young grandchildren now and I am hope I can help them appreciate such beauty and quality! Between you and the My Take On Home and Garden channel I am hopeful that I will use and adore these pieces I find for the rest of my days and that my grandchildren will as well. Thank you for all you do!!

Absolutely stunning collections of glass and I really enjoyed learning more information from Max about his gorgeous pieces he is so knowledgeable. I inherited my moms Franciscan Desert Rose dishes and I love the pink and green together on my table. I'm drooling over all the UG glass too, I ordered blacklights to go in mom's cabinet to show off my collection. Thanks for taking us along to the glass show. 😊

It’s always a treat to tag along with you to this glass show. My husband and I have downsized and sold most of our antiques. I know they went to people who love them so I’m okay with that. That said, we aren’t buying anything unless we LOVE it and will use it. And that’s why I just love accompanying you on your adventures! It gives me such joy to hear the history and stories. Max Miller recently acquired the chrome collection from a dealer. He is full of surprises. I told him about my Foval/Fry glass finds from MAM Resale last year. You should have seen the look on his face. He was crushed that he missed out on this. I offered it to him for what I paid, which was a deal for this hard to find glass.

I have really been looking forward to this video! So many unique and beautiful items! I would love to be able to go to the Houston Glass show - it would be a dream come true for me (like a kid in a candy store). Ed Sawicki had so many beautiful items on his table. And the table with the wonderful American Brilliant Cut glass - I would have bought that $245 pitcher in a heartbeat! And those Heisey candlesticks too! I love crystal candlesticks with prisms (I have 3 pair so far and my husband would say I don't need anymore, lol, and he'd probably be right). Those Fostoria candelabras for $975 are exquisite!! Thank you so much Lady Mary Beth for taking us along on your visit to the Houston Glass Show! I hope you'll share with us if you bought anything....?

Dazzling! The first glass I began collecting back in the 1970s was depression glass - pink Mayfair and Cherry Blossom and green Colonial Block. I've been contemplating getting rid of it because my interest waned but your suggestions and illustrations of how it compliments china in a table setting has me re-thinking that. Great video. Thanks!

I’m sorry to admit that my mom had many pieces of that ruffled opalescent glass in her china cabinet that just disappeared with an unscrupulous estate agent. Mom came down with dementia quite suddenly and it was a rush to clear out her condo, with none of us kids living in the same town. Even though we may have admired various pieces over the years and mom would say they were valuable, in that circumstance there was so much hitting us with an aggressive timeline. It was as much as we could do just to get the condo cleared out for closing. To research china cabinet items was the last thing on our minds. I’d like to urge everyone with valuable collections to know who the piece is going to (who you think wants the piece may not be accurate) and put their name in writing on the object. We were all too well brought up to start claiming items early. It wouldn’t hurt to include a FMV on the item with a date. If you can’t assist in the disposition for some reason, then at least your kids will know if the piece is valuable and less likely to be taken.

I started collecting Majolica and was wondering if you can recommend an antique store that has a large inventory and willing to ship to Michigan. I re-watched your videos and came across a video 4 months ago featuring Nothing Ordinary in Bellville Texas. They have reasonable prices so I will call them this week to see if they have the pieces I'm looking for. Is there another store that you can recommend? l look forward to your videos for your knowledge on a variety of areas. Thank you Anita

Anita, your best bet is Nothing Ordinary in Bellville, Texas. Nancy is the owner. They have a huge Majolica collection. Rummel Creek Antiques in Houston on Memorial Drive has a dealer in the back room with some Majolica pieces.
