Ladys Slipper Orchid aka Cypripedium in Gumpaste, or Clay: making it is NOT that hard!

Everyone who loves making flowers should try this beautiful flower, Laydy's slipper orchid gets bad rep for being hard to make but it's easier than it seems and is totally worth it. You can use gumpaste or clay / cold porcelain if following this tutorial

I bought this exact set of cutters (growing orchids is one of (way too many) hobbies of mine!) and your video is so much easier for me to understand than the instructions that came with the set of cutters. Thank you. So much for this video! As a bit of a coincidence, I spent today helping build a display at an orchid show, and most orchids growers, myself included, love slipper orchids. Your end result was beautiful and aside from your colors not matching, which you addressed, was very realistic looking!

OMG how did I miss this video!! This little Orchid is one of my favorite and the one I am most scared to try. I hope you will more of the exotic orchids and not the common ones like the Moth and Cattelya (sp). So excited!!!

Am I missing something? I am trying to find a set of the cutters you used to make this Lady's slipper orchid. I have found several online but they are smaller than the actual orchid. I am looking for a set that are actual size to recreate these. Thanks for the tutorial. Shirley Wilson

You not. Majority of what's on the market ( thouh not all ) is abismal, esp for the less common flowers. I have my own veiner shop www.veiners.com and am about to make my second orchid veiner ( cutter ) for sale but not this, unfortunately. Watch this space and thanks for popping in
